Big Boy Restaurant dba La Familia Restaurant — Restaurant in El Paso

Was actually on my way to another restaurant and stopped by here on the way. First of all the setting is phenomenal for sunrise or early morning as the natural lighting of the sun penetrates this building’s windows and decor perfectly. I was greeted by a great hostess who was bi-lingual and was very interactive as I stumbled past my typical and only, “Bien, Y Tu?” And she in classy stride switched into English and continued on lol.

The food portions were fresh and incredibly sized for the price. I paid $13 for what you see in the picture. Was a solid all around meal but man…………..The MFing Pancakes were on a different level today they are the best in El Paso. Everyone was attentive and worked as a collective to accommodate my son and I.

I went here today because I wanted to try their burgers....see how they taste. It took a while for my food to come. When it finally came I immediately looked at the burger meat and it looked like elementary school burger meat.....kinda pale looking. So I took a bite and ...yeah it tasted like those frozen microwave burgers you'd get at Walmart or a burger that you would've been served at lunch in elementary school or something. The fries were also frozen and some weren't cooked that right. But hey.....the chips and salsa were OK....I guess.... But maybe I'll try their actual breakfast items next time. But definitely not getting a burger...

I planned to have a cup of corree at this brightly colored restaurant while my mother had her hair done. So I occupied a booth during their lunch rush for the better part of two hours while I noshed on tostadas, coffee and their cheeseburger plate. The service treated me exactly as I wished to be treated, and the chips and coffee were always super hot. My cheeseburger was exactly as a cheeseburger should be: the bunwas lightly toasted, the meat was juicy and perfectly pink in the middle, the vegetables were fresh.
