Nestled in the heart of El Paso, 787 Coffee is a haven for coffee enthusiasts seeking exceptional service, inviting ambiance, and delightful brews. If I were a local, this would undoubtedly be my go-to spot for unwinding and indulging in a cup of joe. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere envelops you in warmth and tranquility, providing the perfect setting for both solitary contemplation and lively conversations. With ample space to lounge and unwind, it's easy to lose track of time amidst the cozy ambiance. However, what truly sets 787 Coffee apart is its impeccable service, exemplified by the stellar hospitality of their staff. Ruben, in particular, goes above and beyond to ensure that every customer's experience surpasses expectations. His dedication and attention to detail elevate the already exceptional service to a level beyond comparison, earning him accolades well beyond five stars. And of course, no visit to 787 Coffee would be complete without indulging in their exquisite coffee offerings. Whether you're craving a classic espresso, a horchata latte, or a refreshing cold brew, each sip is a symphony of flavor that tantalizes the taste buds and leaves you craving for more. In conclusion, 787 Coffee is a gem in the bustling cityscape of El Paso, offering a sanctuary for those seeking a respite from the daily grind. With its impeccable service, inviting atmosphere, and stellar coffee selection, it's no wonder that patrons find themselves drawn back time and time again. Whether you're a local or just passing through, a visit to 787 Coffee is an experience not to be missed.

Our first visit to 787 coffee was an absolute delight! One of my neverending mom goals is to help my daughters experience the luxury and serenity that coffee shops can offer, and this gem did not disappoint! My 17 year old listened to music, my 10 year old enjoyed some drawing time, practiced her Russian alphabet (don't ask) and I read my current book choice Pachinko. Moms, you must try this spot out and bring your well behaved children! As soon as we walked in, the open, well-thought-out space welcomed us like a warm hug. A variety of seating options are offered. They even have some cute swings as sitting "chairs" facing the front window entrance (beautiful at night). We chose the comfortable upper-level area that overlooked the shop. The cherry on top was our friendly barista Ruben who recommended my drink of choice today, the non-alcoholic Rum-infused Coquito Latte (see pics). Made with oatmilk at my request, it was so creamy and simply exquisite! My girls also opted for their recommended drinks: an iced Mazapan Latte served in the creative IV bag and the iced Horchata latte served in a tall can container. Ruben was very attentive when I informed him of my younger daughter's tree nut allergy and made sure to replace the usual almond flavoring in the latte with dulce de leche. I cannot recommend this place enough! My girls and I really enjoyed this Saturday evening outing and we can't wait to come back. Check it out asap!

I'm not a big fan of Starbucks so I try to find smaller coffee shops to get coffee from. I stumbled across this place searching "coffee" in Google maps, saw the name and immediately wanted to try it. This place is in a very unassuming location and when you walk in it feels like you're in a completely different place altogether in the best way. El Paso doesn't have many places with an atmosphere like this that doesn't involve alcohol and I'm SO happy to have found one. The staff is friendly, they greeted me when I walked up and took the time to explain the different options and make recommendations based on what I said I was looking for. I'm a little biased to support a Puerto Rican coffee shop but it's so good despite that. I got the iced coquito latte and it was delicious. The coffee doesn't taste burnt (looking at you, Starbucks) and it isn't watered down (looking at you, Dunkin) and really has the flavor profile they boast. Being able to buy beans to make infused coffee at home is a MAJOR plus. I recommend anyone who really does enjoy coffee, REAL coffee, stop in here and try it out. 787 Coffee is definitely added to my favorites list!!

787 was all ups and downs on my visit. To start with, let's focus on the good. The vibe is very nice with a kicked back cafe feeling and lots of expression throughout. It seemed like the kind of place someone would break out their MacBook pro and work on their blog for hours on end. I ordered a flat white from the barista (more on him in a minute) and it was pretty good. Unfortunately, that's about where the good ends. Now for the bad. When I first walked through the door, there was 4 people in the cafe. A couple taking pictures of a bunch if art. A teenager in a swing chair playing on their phone, and a lady working on her MacBook pro (i don't know if it was a blog). What I didn't see was a barista. I figured, no problem, they are grabbing something from the back, ill look around. After 15 minutes, there was still no barista. I started nose around looking for them. I cautiously called "hello" to the back room with no answer. I asked the MacBook pro woman if she knew where the barista was and she smiles ans shook her head no. The photo couple had left and the teenager was too engaged in their phone for me to bug them. I decided to take a look in the bathroom. That's when I discovered another person in the building. Someone was innthe toilet stall watching videos on high volume. Behold, I think we found the barista. I called out "Hello" and was answered by an immediate flush. I walked out of the bathroom to avoid looking like a creep just standing in a bathroom while the barista washed up. Unfortunately, that wasn't a concern. Two seconds after I left the bathroom, he did too. Now I have washed my hands inna hurry before, but I promise you, there was not enough time to.do it between that flush and when he walked out. In fact, im pretty sure the toilet wasn't even done flushing by the time he walked out. As he followed me towards the bar asking what I needed in a very friendly tone (yes, he was very polite and friendly) I was thinking that I didn't want to order anything from him since he didn't wash his hands. Now I didn't say anything, but to my relief, he DID wash his hands once he was behind his bar again. Im glad he did, and im sure he chose to do it there because he wanted to get out of the bathroom quick, but it still felt awkward. So my purpose for going in that day was to buy a bag of coffee. The coffee was $28 for a bag, which is beyond expensive, but the flat white was good so I figured the coffee would be good too. The bag had no roasting date marked but the barista assured me that the coffee was always less than a week old. I took him at his word and bought a bag. Like I said, the flat white was good. Unfortunately, the coffee on the wall was not. After getting it home and opening it the next day, I was greeted with incredibly stale coffee that was so bitter, it was borderline undrinkable. I tried pourover, espresso machine, and aeropress, all of which I am pretty ok with. Nothing could bring this bitter, stale, sad coffee back from the brink of death. At $28 per bag, and an average double shot pull requiring 18 grams, I calculated that I was paying about $1.60 per shot to have this coffee at home. Much more for any other method of making it. At those prices it would be nice to at least have so.ething drinkable. I don't think I will be heading back to 787...

NOT a local company, although CEO is supposedly from El Paso. Reviews are prompted by staff & specifically requested to give a 5 star. Reviews would seem to be overwhelmingly inflated positive as based on what I overheard, it affects the employees directly & they’re required to elicit a certain # of reviews daily.

Tried out this coffee shop today Vibe is super cute & adorable. Staff is sweet & pretty well versed on the provenance of the coffee & the lore of the company. Nothing against the staff, it seems like that info is pretty well rehearsed & pushed out by upper management to try to make “connections” with customers. A little on the creepy side & “drink the koolaid” vibe, pride over the organization should be organic & natural not spewing out a scripted narrative.

Alexus, Naomi, & John were manning the bar & they’re helpful, kind, & doing their jobs with great enthusiasm.

Empanadas & chocolate chip cookie were delicious, although a bit pricey. Same for the coffee $7+ for a cappuccino is a little extreme. 2 empanadas, 1 cookie, & cappuccino totaled $24.

Execution of the cappuccino was perfectly fine & good, although they forgot the vanilla I paid for. Was added after the fact & it was fine, they offered to remake it but I don’t like being wasteful. Flavor wise it was alright, not as good as expected for the hype. Not a huge fan of dark roast.

Would come back for the chill atmosphere and empanadas. Coffee ehh probably not. Only giving a 5 star as I don’t want to negatively impact the...
