The ladies in here are either just plain rude or racist. I went in there with my wife and our 2 children, 16 and 17 years of age to get their ID. My 17 was no charge and my wife stood in the back with her without a problem. They called my son's ticket and i go back with him and the older lady with the poor clown make up asked me if I was just back there to hang out, I said yes he is my son and he is a minor. She told me I could go back to the waiting room to sit and wait. I could here her asking my son questions and my son didn't even know what a PO box was and he was unsure if he wanted to register to vote. He then came out to asked for my card to pay for his ID. I said why your sister was free. So I walk to the back to ask why his was $14 and again the clown lady says don't worry sir I will make sure you get a receipt. I said ok I just had a question. She said sure I just need your money to have some spending cash for the weekend. And I said I'm sure you do. And she turned her chair and laughed. This lady is disgusting. I was polite the whole time never once was disrespectful. So I did make a complaint. Because another lady with her son, both white came into the back and not once did they ask her to go back to the waiting room. I'm telling y'all this lady is disgusting and shouldn't be in the business of serving the public. *7/7/2025 my daughter who is now 18 went down at 12pm to get her driver's permit, she was finally able to get in at 4pm after waiting outside on the heat. She goes in and the ladies working there said she couldn't do her permit test at 4pm because they want to get out on time at 5pm. My daughter could have been done well before 5pm if she started her test at 4pm. I'm telling y'all these ladies in here are extremely rude and I will continue to complain to there superiors until something happens. We shouldnt have to drive to whiteville or Lumberton for a simple transaction that could happen at a DMV less than a mile from our residence. Update 8.04.25- they turned my daughter and others away today because they needed a permit exam. No matter of they were in line or not. They told us that it would take too much time. It doesn't matter, if your in line they should take anyone regardless of what you need. These ladies in here are nasty and should not be serving the public. Nasty attitudes and turning people away based of what service they need. Made several complaints about them and will continue to do so ever...
Read moreThis was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had—and unfortunately, my teenage daughter had to witness it as well. We arrived for our scheduled appointment 15 minutes early, as instructed by the website, which also notes that arrivals more than 15 minutes late may result in cancellation. Upon entering, we found that all seats were occupied, so we stood and waited. Numbers were being called, but there was no clear check-in process. The only visible signage warned against knocking on the window for assistance.
After waiting 15 minutes with no direction or acknowledgement, I approached the computer in the room and followed the on-screen instructions to check in. I received a printed receipt with a number. Shortly after, a woman abruptly came through a door and scolded me for using “state property,” snatching the ticket from my hand. She returned behind the door and began loudly mocking me to another staff member, who joined in.
Their behavior was shockingly unprofessional, rude, and immature—especially in a public service environment. Several people in the room appeared equally surprised by the staff’s conduct. This experience was deeply disappointing and...
Read moreRASICT PEOPLE! I 100% do NOT recommend. So I went in and sat down, there was a few people there in the waiting lobby. The two ladies was in there office attending NOBODY. They was just talking to each other about how Mexicans shouldn’t be here and that they should go back to we’re they came from. They talked about how if Latino people can’t speak English that they need to go back to Mexico. (That was before covid) I went back after COVID and had to wait outside. Took my husband to get his license. They didn’t let me in with him so I told the older lady that he don’t speak Spanish and she said the she did and for me to wait outside. My husband said they laughed at him and took him back outside. Didn’t even bother to look at any ID’s or papers that he had so he can get his license. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN. These ladies need...
