Left the original review (below) only because I was told it would be in exchange for digital copies of some photos-only later to find out these promised digital copies could only be used for social media. This was just the start of multiple instances of feeling taken advantage of. Prices were completely out of line and were not disclosed until the very end. Does not give digital copies without extra charge, and fees are in the thousands of dollars even for just digital files (ie 14 DIGITAL photo files are $1600-who charges these kind of prices?!). This session was advertised in a school fundraiser/silent auction (in Wake Forest) yet not sure why this was donated so far from the facility (something I also was not aware of until AFTER purchase) so our session also required a 4 hour round trip drive. Was supposed to have received a canvas print with my certificate but because I asked to get prices for other photos we liked, left with no canvas and instead 3 digital photo files because I was told this was the best that could be offered for $850 if I would like an option for more than one photo. This place is great if you are looking for a way to spend money you otherwise have nothing to do with, but I would urge you to give your money to those photographers practicing more fair business practices.

Excellent communication, professional interaction, beautiful studio, and a process that was seamless is just the beginning of the "good" we experienced with Vann Fine Arts Portraits. Vanessa made us feel comfortable immediately and was great at posing not only my husband and me, but also our dog, Chloe! During the shoot, Vanessa was warm and inviting but also efficient, covering everything from the prep, the photos, some basic editing, and showing us the best shots to select and order. It was all done in one day, which I appreciate in our busy world! The finished products, fully edited, are absolutely stunning. Vanessa is one of a kind and rare in her talent. Vanessa was the best to work with! We were having family portraits taken, and it was during a time I wasn’t feeling so great about myself. She promised me not to worry, but I worried. I wasn’t even excited to see the pictures afterwards because I knew I had gained weight. I still have no idea how she did it, but her magical touch made me feel so much better about myself. She gave me hope and motivation, and reminded me I have many more years to hopefully live! I may not have looked like I did in my bridal portraits 20 years ago, but seeing her pictures made me feel proud to be 46. I may not have had the white gown, but I had two beautiful children and a wonderful husband I’d choose over my bridal portraits any day!
