Walmart — Local services in Elizabethtown

I wouldn't rate this Walmart with not even 1 star, but it's the only way you'll let me post! On November 2018 my Fiance & I went to NC for him to visit his family & for me to meet them for the first time! On our way we stopped by this Walmart to do a little shopping! While we were there one employee had reported my Fiance in for stealing swearing up and down that she seen him stiffing things down his pants! No employees said anything to us, so we went to check out and as we were heading to our car! We were surrounded by the whole E town Team Police Officers, Chief and Sheriff! Then there was a crowd just staring at my fiance and I! The Sheriff asked my Fiance and I to follow them back into Walmart! We walked into Walmart surrounded by them like we were convinced murders or something and of course all eyes on us! We went to the back and they had told us an employee of Walmart said she seen my Fiance stealing in the Electronic Aisle! Mind y'all my fiance and I never even stepped into that aisle! After questioning and humiliating us! I finally asked the employee are you sure it's my fiance you seen stealing or are you mistaken yourself?? She had walked out and a manager came back to tell the Officers/Sheriff that the employee said it wasn't my fiance she had mistaken him from another black dude! I said you mean American Black! None of the employees of Walmart apologized none at all! Of course the Chief had to take my fiance outside to calm him down! Because we were there for vacation had like $400+ in our wallets at that time of humiliation because we were on vacation so of course we had money! When I walked out with the officers again all eyes on me! I have never felt embarrassed or humiliated in my life and to top it off we weren't even in Walmart long or even walked around to even have time to steal! We went straight to the birthday cards area and straight to the cashier! ! That employee made me look so stupid, but at the end she made herself look stupid cause now she wasn't even sure! It's a shame to do business like that and hire ignorant employees! Especially ones who can't even identify a customer who steals! My fiance is from E town born and raised and said he has never been in a situation like that not ever stole out a store! Bad experience...

The audacity that the register team lead has to accuse me and my family of stealing not once but twice. We stopped at dollar general before coming to Elizabethtown Walmart and my kids had some snacks we bought at Dollar general and they brought them in the store with them to continue eating them. My son accidentally dropped his empty bag of chips on the floor and the register manager came to bring it to my son and said don't forget to pay for it. As we are walking away I said it's not from this store. We finish our shopping and we head to the self check out and again the register manager comes up to us and says "make sure you pay for the chips and drinks" again I said don't worry they are from another store. This lady insisted that we had intentions of stealing a $0.50 bag of chips from the store. This lady cannot walk around the store accusing people of stealing. To stop my wife and I and our 3 children and embarrass us in front of other customers and associates is...

Very crowded with merchandise. Too many clothes and too tightly spaced when you try and maneuver their big buggies through the clothes. Aisles are way too tight. No one can pass with 2 buggies side by side. Associates standing around talking more than working. And not talking about anything productive. Store is too dark, whether because its too crowded with limited walking space or they need to adjust the brightness of the bulbs. Possibly both. Prices seemed rather high and higher than usual. Clearance items have no designated area to browse as they just have clearance priced items in between new and similar items. Many associates passing customers didn't acknowledge them or ask if they needed help and clearly have forgotten Sam Waltons 3 rules. I think the store needs a definite remodel soon or they may as well close it. Its to congested. Too old fashioned. And definitely needs new attitudes to go in and adjust the ones who have become complacent and lazy...
