Hubby's Dog House — Local services in Elk Grove Township

My actual rating is a 3.5...but I'll round up since this is a new establishment.

There are things I liked about this place, the burgers and hot dogs were pretty good. Unfortunately there were some things I didnt like as well.

For example, we ordered the chili expecting a normal amount. Many restaurants call their servings "cups of chili" and it is usually a small bowl. Here a "cup" is essentially a shot, no more than 3 bites of chili for $2. This was sad because the chili itself was pretty good, and this seems to be the only size chili they offer.

In general things here seemed to be a little smaller, and a little more expensive when compared to other similar establishments in the area, such as submarine express which is right across the railroad tracks. Given, the quality of the burger did seem a bit higher, I guess it might be worth it for...

Hubby’s is a neighborhood gem. The service has always been warm and welcoming, accommodating with adjustments to toppings, and the food is fresh! My sons love the hot dogs from Hubby’s and I can’t ever pass on corn dogs, but their burger is what I usually have to have! It’s juicy and so good with grilled onions and bacon. The awesome sauce is awesome!

Not sure what Broken Arrow is feedbacking about, especially since they weren’t open, but I’m a female Asian and my family have never experienced any issues of sideway glances or awkward treatment from any of the staff here at Hubby’s.

I’ve had nothing by yummy fresh food here and warm service. I’ve seen them be inclusive to all, including their special 4 legged customers...

Best burger I've had in awhile! Ordered first time today and got a double cheeseburger, chihuahua dog, corn dog and fries. The burger was ridiculously juicy, so flavorful and tender. It was greasy but that's to be expected from a smash burger and it wasn't overly greasy and the flavor was not just coming from the fat of the burger either. Great quality meat. Chihuahua dog was different from what I've had before but also very good. Can't wait to try all the hot dogs on the menu. The corn dog was also good; very crispy and hot. The fries weren't oily but they had an oily taste so that was probably our least favorite item. Will definitely be back and looking forward to trying everything...
