Been to many Mexican places but this one stood out more because it's very VERY pricey compared to the ones I've been to. Most places serve soup for bout $6.99 to $8.99 and their soups here start at $12.25 and goes up to $21.99. At that price, it better fill me up and then have some leftovers to bring home and consume for days because $21.99 is a lil outrageous for just soup even though it is seafood soup. Everything else on the menu (pics provided) are just on the pricey side. The main dishes start at $15.99 and goes up to $21.99. So yea, the only thing that looks cheap is the kid's menu XD 2ndly, they serve beverages in a can, so yup, no refills. Taste wise, I ordered Molé and it was alright, chicken was tender but nothing special. My bf ordered a burrito requesting for no lettuce, tomatoes on the side and more rice, order came correctly but there was no sauce or nothin smothered on top of his burrito. He said it tasted alright but nothing to rant bout either. Conclusion, we definitely won't go back again to pay so much more for normal mexican food that we can easily get elsewhere and for less prices. The one thing that was really good (and i thought was better than my molé) was their salsa and that's about it.

I ordered Camarones a la diabla, which is translated as “devils shrimp”. With that kind of name you would expect a mouth firing experience. But I was deceived. I understand that some people may not handle spicy food. But it tasted like they didn’t even try. The sauce had this sweet mango taste. Wasn’t even spicy at all. Sorta of like orange chicken flavor but with shrimp. Which didn’t even go well. Their tacos are alright. But this platter shouldn’t be in the menu. Or fix the sauce. Make it spicy or mild. Which ever works. Or just don’t call it camarones a la diabla.

Hands down, this is not only my favorite Mexican restaurant, this is my favorite restaurant, PERIOD!!! I work right across the street and I have to say, these folks make Mexican food as authentic as you can get it. It used to be an old Pizza Hut and it is diagonal from the 7-Eleven gas station in conjunction with the mini mall.

My favorite from here is pretty simple, steak tacos with cilantro, onion, and their red hot sauce. Best damn sauce you'll ever eat. The chips and salsa are my next favorite. In fact, everything on their menu looks good and I've tried almost all of it. This place beats any Mexican restaurant in the city of Chicago. I have given these guys so much money and I will continue to. The owner is very nice and the staff is fantastic. They work hard and enjoy doing what they do. I feel like I've cheated when I go to another Mexican restaurant but unfortunately I don't live close and now I work Midnights so it's hard to catch them when they are open.

The prices are very affordable and portions are huge. You're sure to get full on any of the dinners you order. This place is far from the fanciest but it's clean and well maintained. They serve free chips and salsa when you dine in which is a steal once you see how good it is. I've never had steak so marinated and flavored in all my life. They also are one of the few Mexican restaurants that cut their steak very fine so that helps to avoid eating a big piece of fat and such. I want to make this review longer because I want people to take this seriously but I'll stop here...

We’ve been ordering from this restaurant for many years and always pleased with their food quality. Today I brought tacos for my husband and myself. When my husband opened up his tacos there were clumps of hair in his order. I was absolutely disgusted by it and my husband decided to take them back. The female manager told my husband that they would never send them out like that and in the process implying that we put the hair in them. My husband clearly told them that that’s how they arrived when we opened them and didn’t want anything else but those two tacos replaced. They replaced them without any apology. She kept on stating that they didn’t place any hair in those tacos. We asked to speak to the owner and she stated that he wouldn’t be there until Sunday and the female manager stated that there are plenty of other Mexican restaurants we can clearly go to if we were not pleased with their service. We are difinetely never, ever , ever ordering anything from them again because we wouldn’t place hair in the Tacos to just get them replaced. For anyone reading this just check for hair in your food is all I am saying. Completely disgusted by the hair in the food and the rude attitude the female manager...
