My grandparents went in to see if their services would be cheaper if they switched to Verizon. The sales rep claimed they would be. First month was over $400, and the months thereafter will be more expensive than what they were on originally. They also gave them an unnecessary tablet (which they are paying for) to serve as a replacement for their WiFi. On their plan (which is shared between 2 phones and now their home wifi), they only have enough data per month to watch approximately 1 hour of HD video before they will be charged an overage fee and run out of data for the month. The sales rep knowingly took advantage of the fact that my grandparents don't know how the technology works and now they are locked in to a 2 year contract and can't do anything about it. WARN everyone to tell their elderly family members to not do business with Verizon or to help them with this process before they are stuck paying a ridiculous amount of money every month for the next 2 years. My grandparents don't have the funds to keep paying what they are being charged, so I don't know what they are...

Went home after this and explored all my options for purchasing a phone. Was able to find an unlocked phone in my price range and overnighted it. Called Verizon before purchasing to assure they could active the phone and was told they definitely could. Took the phone in to this location and was treated like I was fool that got played by the place I purchased the phone. The employee told me there was no way the phone would work on Verizon's network and once again tried selling me one of their phones.
