Ordered a Christmas arrangement from there saw it on Jackson Florist website for $34.99 and forgot to order it so was in a crunch because I needed it today so I called Swan because it's 5 minutes from where I work and they do Teleflora it wasn't on their website so I asked them if they could do it they said yes their price points were $29.99, $39.99 I said you don't have one for the $34.99 she said no so I said $29.99 she needed to check to see if they had the vase came back said yes would be ready at noon. Went to pick it up I looked at it and was VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! The girl said are you not happy I said no can they add a few more flowers she said yes but that would be like $6 I said fine and I asked about some of the greenery because some parts of it were brown and looked dead she said no that's the type of greenery it is, so I said I guess! So she takes it out of the box to go back and put more flowers in it and it was in some CHEAP looking vase I said that's not the right vase she said something to the other girl she said ask so and so if we have the vase she said yes because she checked before she took the order, so she took it in the back said she would get it fixed came back out and said she gave it to one of their top designers he'll fix it up and won't charge me for the extra flowers I said thank you! The guy brings them out in the right vase with no extra flowers he said there doesn't that look much better I said well it's the right vase, by this time I had been there for over a half hour I just took them and left!! On my third and last visit to Swan yesterday, I went in to pick up flowers to give to my daughter after a Drama Club performance. While I was checking out, another parent with a child in the same performance walked in and asked about flowers for theirs as well and wasn't sure what they wanted to spend. I started to tell them what I purchased and the cost, but one of the employees sharply and loudly cut me off, saying, "THEY'RE ASKING FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT." The employee remained unapologetic and dismissive when I expressed my unhappiness with the rudeness.
The second time that I went, it was to look into buying a cut bouquet for my dining room table, which I replace every 10-14 days. When I stated that I didn't know (when i came in) that sun exposure affects the life of a cut bouquet, 2 employees scoffed as though I should have known that.
On my first visit, I purchased a corsage. It was a quick visit with no issues.
If a business has an occasional customer service issue but provides an exceptional product or service, it can be looked over. But if I can expect a rude or belittling attitude, that's a negative culture within the business.

Read moreI called in an order yesterday for the wife’s birthday today. Order went smooth and easy and so was the pick up today. I ordered the pink hues better FTD florist design bouquet since I wanted the florist to do as they please with the design. I’ll be honest, I was caught off guard when it was brought out because I’m a regular bouquet type of guy. This is on me because of my flower purchasing habits. I thought the arrangement was nice but different.
I had my young boys give the flowers to their mom and sure enough, she loves it. It is pretty and the design grew on me eventually. Again, taste is subjective and different is not a dig on the arrangement or florist. My boys and I usually buy flowers for their mom at the grocery place because its convenient. I let them pick a regular bouquet and they give it to their mom or I buy it and they give it to her as a surprise.
I will continue to support Swan’s Floral going forward. It’s a small business and have great customer service. It may not be as convenient as big box stores but service and quality makes up for it. Next time I’ll bring the boys and...
