Food is always great tasting but sometimes inconsistent. I've been noticing an increasing jumper of drive thru attendants that don't think it's necessary to greet or say anything to a customer in the drive thru. I had one attendant that knocked over my drink when he pushed it out (they have a drawer instead of a window) and when I told him the drink was spilled everywhere he just looked at it and said nothing to me but gave an annoyed face and walked away to replace it. He said nothing to me the whole time, even though I tried to speak to him. Another time I ordered a small 3 way and came home to realize that the cup of chili and Spaghetti wasn't even halfway full which was way less than what I know it to normally be, as I order it frequently. I called in to the manager and she tried to argue with me without even seeing my order that it was correct. Eventually she told me to bring it back and she would replace it for free. When I did she still had a rather sour attitude, despite Mr being cordial the entire time. It's not like she had to drive back to the place while still hungry! Dixie used to have wonderful service across the board, but somehow it's started to fall down a hole of bad attitudes and inaccurate orders. I truly wanted to give Dixie 5 stars but I simply can't because of all the bad service I've been getting at the drive thru. (edit: this has now happened three times where I've gotten not even a half full cup of food. I love Dixie chili but this is absolutely ridiculous. If you're going to charge almost 5 dollars for a small 3way then you better give correct or at least consistent sizes. I got this same order not 2 days ago and the cup was at least 3/4 full. This is past ridiculous. My rating will remain at 1 star until I...
Read moreI’ve grown up in Cincy and I’ve tried all kinds of Cincy styled chili. The most common and well known places are Gold Star and Skyline chili, there’s also Blue Ash chili as well. Up until I tried Dixie chili, Blue Ash was my favorite chili place. Now I can’t see myself eating anything other than Dixie! It’s different than the other Cincy style chili, in the best ways possible! It’s not overwhelming in spices. Some chili’s are both too sweet and spicy in my opinion. Dixie does a great job in balancing all of the aromatic flavors. I believe the reason why Dixie chili is the best is because they’re one of the original recipes for Cincy style chili; this place has one of the oldest Cincy chili recipes. I’m a bit of a history buff on this topic. Anyways, I’d highly recommend the 4-way or the chili man dip! Both were really the best Cincy chili I’ve ever tasted! I simply cannot stop raving about this place! I’ve eaten here a total of 3 times within the last 2 days. That should tell you that it’s really good food. Every time I’ve walked in, the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. The place is super clean, the music was at an acceptable level every time I’ve gone inside to eat. The one downside is that there’s only one bathroom stall for the women’s restroom, but at least there wasn’t a huge line to use it. Going at hours no one else will be there was a good choice. It does get a bit crowded at dinner times. I’d highly recommend anyone to give this place a try...
Read moreI was hoping for a little better based on other reviews but here was my experience. Visited during a weekday lunch around 1:30, so I wasn’t too busy.
There was no line and I walked right up to place my order. Immediately I could see and hear an employee who was having a meltdown. She was slamming utensils around and banging lids on the service line as she was putting orders together, while vocally going back and forth with coworkers. Whether she was having a bad day or disagreement with staff or was very uncomfortable and management did nothing to intervene.
But into the food, the clerk took my order, I grabbed a tray and proceeded for the unhappy girl to put my order together which was completed in a timely manner, food plopped on my tray with no eye contact or “thank you”.
I headed off to find a table and sit down. That’s when I noticed my crème soda was only about 70% full. So after a few bites and sips, I went back to the counter for a refill. I was told no refills. I explained to the clerk that my soda was never full to begin with and he begrudgingly filled it up again.
As for the food, I had a 6-way and cheese coney. Nothing remarkable. Not bad but didn’t stand out over their competition. In fact, I only ate about half of...
