We figured we would try out a new place and since we all love burgers, I figured why not try it. That was first and will be the last. I paid over $55 for my family to eat here and it was an expensive disappointment. It was dirty, there is grease all over the floor so try not to slip when you walk in. All of the tables are wobbling and unlevel. The bathrooms are dirtier than a truck stop bathroom and there is no air conditioning or air flow period so they are hot and they smell awful. So far as the food it wasn't bad until I bit into my burger and felt something hard that didn't seem like it was supposed to be part of the burger. Well...it wasn't. It was a piece of metal with a sharp edge on it. I took it up to the register to show them, they apologized and told me they would make sure they paid better attention to that sort of thing and walked away. After I sat back down, the same woman walked over and told me it was a piece of metal off of the tubes wrapped in plastic that hold the ground beef and it must have landed in there when one of the tubes was cut open. She also offered me a credit for the next time I came back. I told her that I would prefer to be refunded the money for my burger since I would not be returning again. I was only given the option for a credit on a future visit, which I was not agreeable to considering I would like to keep the remaining teeth that I have. Do not not waste your time...
Read more12/2023 update Mad Mike's removed the sign. Since it has not reappeared I have changed my review to 3 stars.
11/2023 review I like to eat here. I was so sad when the original owners closed this shop. I was happy when it reopened and the burgers tasted the same. Hooray. It is a little pricey though, so it's a treat for my family to eat here.
I saw they had a sign about a special, and I was so excited. A 1/4 lb cheeseburger , fries and a drink for $5.99!!! I arrived and waited for a person to come out of the bathroom (didn't hear the sink by the way). They were like, oh you want the special? And I said yes. They said, sorry that's only Monday through Thursday. I said oh, no! Your sign doesn't say that. Is there any way you can you do it for me this time, since there's been some confusion? And they said no, there's no button.
I have run registers before - just change the price. Don't ring something up. The lack of a button has not stopped me from taking care of fellow hungry humans who literally came 20 hours late for something they didn't know ended 20 hours ago.
Signs that are false advertising earn 1 star from me. You are taking advantage of people at worst and wasting their time at best.
Not just customers, too. I feel bad for the cashiers who have to tell customers sorry the sign is misleading. How many times do they have to tell people...
Read moreI recently visited Mad Mikes, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The first thing I noticed upon entering was the cleanliness—or rather, the lack of it. The floors were dirty, tables were left uncleaned with remnants of food from previous customers, and trash bins were overflowing, creating an unsightly mess.
To make matters worse, the establishment seemed to have a fly problem. A group of flies was swarming the ketchup. The men’s restroom had a sign that said go to women’s. . This level of hygiene is unacceptable for any dining place, let alone one serving food. It was equivalent to eating in a porta potty. 🚽
The only redeeming factor was the employee who served me. They were polite and friendly, which did make the visit slightly more bearable. However, the state of the restaurant overshadowed the positive customer service.
I would not recommend Mad Mikes until they seriously address their cleanliness issues. It’s disappointing because with better maintenance, it could be a decent place to grab...
