I’ve lived here for approximately 3 months and I hate it ! If you want to live here ,look to live in the townhomes, they seem nice and it’s at least less crammed with people. I was swayed to look them over, but they were just not in my price range so I opted for an apartment in one of the complex’s that hold multiple families, BIG mistake.
First off, I want to just get this all of my chest because I no longer care. I’m unhappy and uncomfortable here. I was initially shown an apartment to view that I was told by the apartment manager that would be IDENTICAL to the layout of my current apartment, LIES. I looked at an upstairs apartment 2 bedroom in complex #840, The apartment shown to me had a pantry in the kitchen area and had vinyl flooring in the dining area. The apartment I got has carpet in the dining area (gross! ) no pantry, and my kitchen ceiling wasn’t painted at all from the last tenant. it’s still crusty, paint was left in a cabinet, apartment was dirty and required cleaning before move in. I had to sign for this apartment before ever seeing it so I was stuck with it no matter what lie was told and how much I didn’t like it. My master bedroom didn’t have a built in closet, that was installed a month after moving in with a one day notice! I was given a set of keys, 4 to the main door and 2 house keys. I reported one house key not working, I was told by the apartment manager I needed to give the key to maintenance so they could get a copy and that the apartment manager didn’t have another one. Ridiculous! So take my one key and disappear with it? I still only have one apartment door key! I refuse to pay to have one made. it’s utterly ridiculous!
A few weeks into moving here there was a man who approached my teen daughter and made a sexual remark, my daughter identified this man and I confronted him and told him to leave my daughter alone and any other children he may encounter, he was sitting on some benches next to the dog park, drinking alcohol during the day with an open container, slurring his words. I did not report this because I handled it myself. This man does not live here and has a girlfriend who rents here. Several days after the encounter he is drunk sitting in his car screaming at me as I’m getting in my car, so I called the police. The police came twice that day because he went on a drunk fueled rage and the second time, decided to stand on my porch near my sliding glass door (I’m downstairs to the apartment he is “staying” at )to scream again and cause a disturbance. He threated to vandalize my car and to fight me. This was reported and I heard absolutely NOTHING back, not a sorry from management or any updates. They might have said something to him, he still sits on her balcony and smokes blunts(you can see it and smell it) and drinks and just sits there to intimidate me, he has either followed my work patterns or he just sits and waits until I return and just stares me down. I was told by the apartment manager since it was a “domestic” disturbance , her boss told her to stay out of it (how professional)I was told I would hear back on some resolution. the apartment manager only told me what happened 3 weeks later as there was an inspection being performed in my complex.
I just discovered I have roaches in my apartment. They did call pest control so I suppose I can wait and see on that as I was told to wait 2 weeks, I have never had roaches in my life! The exterminator told me he was only looking at my apartment, someone in my complex obviously has them! Hello?
I’m totally done with this place! I come home every day from work hating it here, pay too much money to be uncomfortable , I’m aggravated they allow people that are just visiting to say and do whatever they want and I’m expected to just deal, 2 police reports should have kicked a “visitor” out! and the fact that I have bugs now disgusts me and angers me to no end! This is ghetto.
My mail was also stolen,It was a medical kit from my insurance company ,I guess a bunch of kids came in the main front building and stole...
Read moreI have live in her for over 4 years, 2 under the previous owners, and over two with Rockwood properties. There is no comparison of the two! I went from the old dysfunctional one bedroom to a newly remodeled BEAUTIFUL one bedroom! It's a home now, and I continue to enjoy everyday! Jennifer is in the profession she meant to be in! Her professionalism is outstanding, she truly care about all of her residents, and makes sure we are happy and living the best life possible in our homes! If there is a maintenance problem, rest assured it will be addressed quickly and efficiently. Dave, the maintenance guy is prompt and resolved the issue as quickly as he possibly can!! My ONLY issue, is I wish Jennifer was given the resources to have someone monitoring the pool (which is beautiful) after the office is closed and during weekends! There's always a few who refuses to "play by the rules" and at times make it impossible for the residents that do, enjoy the immidies that is provided to us!! Overall, I can say that I wouldn't live...
Read moreYeah, there are problems with the pool being used by nearby apartment tenants not from the Vineyard. There’s a problem with children in the pool area without adult supervision. From both neighboring apartment complexes in the Vineyard residence. There is a problem with children, leaving their bikes in the driving area around the complex. And causing disturbances late at night. And apparently no adult supervision. Jennifer, the office manager, is wonderful. She is the addresses problems and concerns quickly. She is friendly and wonderful to work with and her position. I don’t know about other buildings, but I have wonderful neighbors. Warm and friendly neighbors without being nosy. Vineyards is a wonderful place to live with. There’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to the pool...
