June 24th, Suddenlink is Reducing Upload speeds, because other ISPs are slower. No joke. Only pertains to new clients, and those who upgrade/downgrade their packages. This is bluntly disregard to anyone working and studying home home. Killing off their email, slowly. Check the Unofficial Suddenlink Subreddit, on Reddit. Google "Reddit Suddenlink" and you'll find it. Then there's the I Hate Suddenlink Facebook group. Would single star, but the ONLY tech I see in Alva, has been a great and helpful guy, great and understandable in person chats, ignoring the limitations Suddenlink has upon him and other techs, and been able to get many of things done, that should be simply done over the phone/online chats. Since the Alva location has been shut down, for years prior to the pandemic, reviewing on nearby Suddenlink locations. Nearest is Over an Hour Drive away, Enid and Woodward. Phone Support likes to try getting you into Altice Mobile, when irrelevant to the call, and not even covered in the area. Price hikes! Keep a copy of every bill, Online or otherwise, for well beyond a year! Trust Me! They will say the price increase is due to a year old promotion expired, and you can't see your bills online beyond a year. Don't trust the "For Life" pricing. It's just a name, small print agreement states they can still increase it by other fees. The moment there's a payment issue, especially on Suddenlink's end, gives them reason to start increasing the cost. If your bank card expires or replaced, disable the auto-draft on your account immediately, manually pay for a month or two, and days ahead of due date! Been with since college (2009). Once I moved to my first home, immediately upgraded to the highest plan available (35Mb?). Couple years later, upgraded for the 100Mb/7.5Mb, unlimited data, plan at $60month once it came available. Since then, the price gradually went up some time after that, to $90. Upgraded to 1Gb/50Mb late 2020, avg 650Mb/48Mb, for Under $90, took over a week to accomplish, with half baked reasons and excuses. Bill went up two months later, and my speeds went (further) down until I repeatedly complained. Before the 1Gb upgrade, I'm told the price increases are due to expired promotion(s) I have had. No listings of such on my bills. Was at $72 at the end of 2019. January 2020 bill came out, stated there will be a $10.50 increase, and the final page advertised new pricing of my 100Mb plan will go up to $120 a month. Twice where I started ($60 years back). Since my first home (apartment) covered basic cable, yet phone reps say my bill is increasing because I'm bundled. Upgraded to 1Gb, and a $10 internet promotion appeared on my bill, no one at the time could explain, or say for how long. Vanished two months later. Only other ISPs services are worse. Local company owned ISP has poor network routing (Double to Triple NATing). ATT DSL is incredibility slow (haven't seen higher than 25Mbs), goes out many times a year (comparing to Suddenlink at least) or fluctuates so much buffering is expected, game lagging/rubber-banding/disconnects is a very big norm. ATT has Fiber down main streets, but businesses only, and a couple wireless ISPs are coming in; questioning wireless internet instead of wired internet... Suddenlink, for the most part is better than the available options, but the ever increasing costs, reducing speeds, and decreasing support and coverage quality, shows the general economy of greed vs income, making it harder for anyone to get by comfortably. Support by email doesn't exist. This is 2021, what company doesn't have public facing email support? If you have network logs, graphs, call recordings of broken promises, anything, they will not accept it. No email will be given. Call/Office/Twitter DMs has been more reliable than multiple hour waits on hold and disconnects. Don't bother with online Chat support.

Good luck contacting them to get anything done. Havent had internet for 3 weeks. Literally. At all. Been waiting on hold for 46 minutes, and this is my 3rd time to call this week. If I got a dollar for every minute I've been on hold this week, I'd have about $200. They also scheduled an appointment with me between 2-5. I called today and the recording said the technician wont be here until 5:50. I have plans, suddenlink. Would give 0/5 stars if it was possible. Such a waste of time and money. Unfortunately they are the only service in my area (Enid, OK).

Suddenlink promises 1 gig of speed?! Yet here I am, for the past month getting barely 10 mpbs. I can't do any of my work with that speed. I have called them 3 times and can't get the help I need. Taking my business elsewhere. *Update* 2 hours later. Now my speed is LESS than 10 mpbs.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! My husband went in to turn our wifi gateway & extender after following proper protocall and scheduling disconnection 2 weeks in advance. We went to the store simply to drop it off and were told that they were unable to except because the service had not been disconnected. I went in and sat in the Enid Optimum office while I called to have the service disconnected because we were moving that day and did not have the time for another set back. I can admit I was frustrated on the phone as we had already jumped through all of these hoops once and were told by the Enid location that our service was not disconnected and they would not except our return. As I was on the phone sitting across from one of the employees in store while I continued my call the Store manager came out of her office and sat accross from me giving me dirty looks for about 10 minutes as the phone call continued- she then proceeded not to have proper customer service and ask what the problem was and why I was disgruntalled- to which if she had done so and handled herself professionally I could have been reasoned with and the situation would have been resolved peacefully, but instead she started yelling at me and stated that she could hear me from her office talking too loud in her store and causing a disruption to her customers... the store was empty, and I too am a customer (i would like to mention she went in on me for my volume at the same volume I was speaking in saying my volume was a problem, disrespectful, and not helping the situation). As stated I understand I was upset on the other line.. but rightfully so and my anger was directed at optimum which was the store I was in- she told me that the customer service and disconnection is totally seperate from her store and does not pay her checks- as a business professional I think this is a horrific thing to say to a customer who is having issues with the COMPANY YOU WORK FOR. Eventually she was just scolding, not even being properly informed on my situation because again she never even asked.. which would have been the bare minimum of her job and proper customer service-we were getting nowhere and I was pretty much thrown out of the office and told they would not help me until our service was set up to disconnect.... and now for the ironic part... when we called customer service we were informed that we had actually successfully set up the disconnection the first time when my husband had called 2 weeks prior and that it was actually the Enid branch where the manager was yelling at me and not at all asking the situation or try to help- it was her worker who had given us bad information durring our first attempt to return... and that they in fact should have accepted the return as we had followed all of the steps properly. So again if the manager had done her job and attempted to help a resolution could have been reached. We had heard horror stories about Optimum our whole time living here and always defended them saying we had had no issues, we will no longer be able to defend them and will actually be doing the opposite from now and will never return to them. Upon our THIRD RETURN to the Enid store my husband was helped by a lovely gentleman with a mohawk and ran into no issues- I wish the manager had the same skill level and class as...

We set up service when we moved to town a few weeks ago. The internet has not worked since it was installed.

Original tech said, "Put in a ticket and they'll schedule someone to come look at it, because I'm not really sure what else to do." Received a bill immediately because Suddenlink apparently charges a month ahead. Meanwhile, internet still doesn't work. Several technicians came out to try and figure out the issue, several days or more apart, and were literally guessing (their words), while arbitrarily replacing parts. Each time a tech came out and couldn't figure out the problem, they suggested we reschedule, which typically took another few days.

This was an ongoing process for a bit. Lost track of the phone calls and useless "help" from anyone in tech support or customer service. I was asked if I'd like to purchase a third party tech service though! Kudos to them for having the stones to try and sell me an additional service with the first one didn't even work yet.

Fast forward slightly-and we still haven't even been in town more than a week or two at this point-service is disconnected for not paying the bill.

Yep, our service was disconnected for not paying for a service that didn't work yet and we haven't even had more than a few weeks. Called to get it turned back on so we could continue troubleshooting with the new tech, and had to pay the bill to make that happen. New tech discovers an issue on the feed side (Suddenlink distribution) and tells us we should not be charged for any of the tech visits because the problem was always on their side. He is going to try and get a team to look into our service and troubleshoot why this area is having problems.

Talked to billing to have my service fees refunded and was told by "Alnita" after escalating that we will still be responsible for all the fees because the techs came out and did work. Irrelevant that the issue was always their problem. Irrelevant that the first two techs had no idea what the issue was and admitted as much. So, here we are, yet again being threatened with disconnection if we don't pay for these fraudulent charges.

I let Alnita know I would be contacting an Arbitrator, to which she responded, "Yeah, that's fine. Have a nice day."

This company is garbage, their "customer service" is garbage, and the product is STILL not working. Also, just to reiterate, I have ONLY BEEN HERE about three weeks now. Already "owe" Suddenlink almost $300.

If you can find literally ANYTHING else that can get you internet, by all means do so. Having a monopoly on this entire area makes it difficult to avoid Suddenlink though. Guess you don't have to care about customers or quality when there is no competition? Ridiculous.

Hoping they reach out soon about this, because while apparently our user contract has a clause that bars us from taking them to small claims court (Wonder why that would be necessary???), I can certainly still go through an arbitrator, or at the very least, start squealing to every news outlet and review site I can find. Probably won't matter, but hey, gotta do something.

Is it not possible to leave negative stars? One is more credit than...
