See's Candies — Local services in Escondido

Our family has been eating See's since the first store opened. My sister and I frequently visit the Escondido, Encinitas and Carlsbad stores. Escondido is typically where we meet up because it's between our two houses. I always recommend that people visit the store and experience the magic of it all. See's makes a point of having the best customer service so that the experience of picking and purchasing sweets is memorable for all. The ladies that we've met adhere to the See's brand in every way. Covid has been tough but I love the extra precautions that they've taken to ensure that everyone is safe and still allowed to go into the store! When they were closed early last year, we were so sad. We have always been treated as family by all employees and we consider ourselves to be a "See's Family." If you haven't already, go treat yourself to a hand packed box...

They literally don't answer the phone. The store website won't allow you to place orders. Yet, you're required to do so to be able to go pick it up since they're still keeping their store closed to the public. What exactly are they doing in there if people can't buy anything? The store is open but only to employees. What kind of business is that? There's a link to doordash on their store website too but that only gives you the option for around the to three item choices, which is really pathetic to say the least, and the price is over three times as much with all their extra fees. The only option is to order through the general website but that's not going to happen. Out of over 16,000 reviews for their online delivery service, ALL SIXTEEN THOUSAND have given...

I'm giving two stars because the customer service person was awesome. I'm only giving two stars because I think since candy has lost me as a customer. I bought a 1 lb box of candy and cost $46. I don't know when the prices went up like that but that's absolutely unacceptable to pay almost $50 for 1 lb of candy. I realized prices all over the country are doubling and tripling but as long as there are options we don't have to subject ourselves to price gouging like this. I've been faithful sees customer since I was a kid but I'm afraid that's come to an end. Also, there may be something wrong with the receipt. I'm not sure how the price went from $32 to $46 but...
