On Sept.15 2023 I arrived @ 1:20pm for my scheduled 1:45pm open MRI.
As a 5.4ft, 225lb claustrophobic woman with Lupus, that affects my joints, swallowing & breathing [...along with my other health problems], I was very apprehensive to have this procedure.
Then after reading the multiple negative reviews... I knew coming here was a BIG mistake !
BOY...was I wrongā
I was called in at 1:45p to start the procedure. Vince and Susie were the technicians/nurse who... (pardon me if their titles are incorrect) ... greeted me with warmth, care, compassion, professionalism and outstanding support that eased my mind, lessened my aniexty, and made me feel so secure...I almost wasn't ready to come out the chamber (šš ).
The receptionists were patient and attentive to everyone's needs and in my opinion were doing their best.... and believe me... there were MANY people there: some arriving late, others without appts and still others awaiting to be seen.
Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone and I also would add that we, as clients to be seen, need to be accountable for our behavior such as: *being on time...don't come late and then wonder why you haven't been seen yet... *have your id and information ready so you don't hold up the line asking multiple questions that should have been addressed with ur physicians....
My only concern was the busy phone lines...prior to coming i attempted to call yet was not able to get through. You unfortunately will have to leave a message... a problem if ur trying to resch or cancel.
All in all I give them 5 stars for excellence. Clean clutter free environment, no odors, good lightening, wheelchair accessible, parking available, plenty of seats, nice plants, and pleasent looking art work....!!! Thank you Valley Radiology Consults for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreInstructed to arrive at 6am for 6:30 am MRI on two body sites. Front door locked and was not opened until 6:20 am on a cold morning. No explanation given for telling me to come so early. Exam room was very cold and I asked for a blanket and was told none were available. After first MRI completed I was told that the images were not clear as there was too much movement. My only movement was shaking chills as it was so cold in the room. Repositioned for next exam. At conclusion was told that the machine malfunctioned so I would need to return and have exam repeated. Will layer on more clothing and bring my own blanket when I return for repeat exams.. Patients should be advised that the rooms are very cold and should dress appropriately. Update on review: returned for 7:15 pm appointment on Thursday evening, arriving 10 minutes early as paperwork had already been completed. Informed by clerk that my appointment was canceled as I didnāt arrive by appointment time of 6:30 pm. I reinforced time was set for 7:15 and I had a voice mail proving it. The clerk and MRI tech refused to do exam and rescheduled me for 3:30 pm today. I arrived early and discussed problems I had this week with the clerk who was very apologetic and sincere. Taken in early for exam and it was performed successfully finally. Room was warmer but I used my blanket from home anyway. I have had numerous xrays done previously here with no problems...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wifeās experience: When we were pulling in the parking lot for the appointment, my wife called them to check on the appointment and found out it was canceled and they called someone elseās phone and left a message for her. Hereās our take on Valley Radiology in Escondido, they have the WORST customer/patient service EVER! Patty the front desk person who answers the phone is beyond rude, ignorant, unprofessional and totally disrespectful! She brags about how "her calls are not recorded so she can say whatever she wants and then hang up on you". Diana calls numbers that are NOT yours hours before your appointment to cancel it, and leaves private information about you that is supposed to be protected by HIPAA laws, on other people's phone answering machines, as she did to me, even though it states, "to reasonably safeguard the individual's privacy, covered entities should take care to limit the amount of information disclosed on the answering machine". Florena, the valley radiology "manager" does not return calls. This place does not deserve the one star I HAD to give. I have never dealt with such rude, untrained and ignorant people. This place should do some serious staff replacement. The current staff should not be allowed to interact with patients or the public. I was not surprised at all to see it already had such horrible reviews. If you're smart you won't waste your time, money or energy on...
