I bought my wedding dress at Promises and my husband bought his suit there as well earlier this year. I had a good experience trying on dresses and the staff was helpful throughout the process. My husband was also able to find a suit he liked. We didn't have any issues until I went to pick up his suit. I wanted to wait until the wedding day to see the suit, so I asked that the staff put it in something I couldn't see through. Now I know that was a mistake. The staff put it in a box and bag and I made the great mistake of not double-checking that all items were there. When I got home, my husband put everything away and didn't check all of the items. A few weeks later, we go to the tailor and my husband realized that the pants were missing during his fitting. I called Promises to let them know that the pants weren't with the rest of the suit. They were adamant that they had given me the pants and that there was no way they left them out. There was nowhere really for me and my husband to search for the pants because the suit went from the car to the closet and there was nothing there. The staff refused to take any responsibility for the missing pants and I was told that there was nothing they could do, not even a discount. We ended up having to buy a new pair and didn't get a refund for the pair of pants we never received, which was quite frustrating. It was all very disappointing considering we had started out with such a good experience. I wish I could give zero stars horrible experience with staff and owner. Bought a quince dress for my daughter. I put 200 deposit daughter didn’t want the dress not even 2 months later it was still at the store in the closet it was in when I bought it. She decided to keep my money after previously offering a refund and not give me anything her reason being no potential buyers could buy it because it wasn’t on the floor. IT WAS NEVER on on the floor to begin with. The lady told me in the store herself we rarely ever sell these! I have spent lots of money at this place including my own wedding dress. 100 was offered in store credit. She wouldn’t even keep 100 and give me 100 This is a shady way to do business Im very upset. After having a crisis from making the dreaded mistake of ordering a wedding dress online, I came here VERY last minute to find a wedding dress. I told them my story and they immediately helped me find the most perfect dress! They had a large variety of very pretty, elegant dresses.They hooked me up with a reasonably priced beautiful gown and even gave me a recommendation to an amazing tailor who got me in again VERY last minute to make my dream come true.
