This is my first time going to see a movie in over 8 years. First one was The Wonders of OZ at IMAX. Mother tried to take us here to see the Muppet Movie on the big screen. $60 for four people. We did come back when tickets were cheaper to see Cars 3.
I booked my tickets online on 10/05/2023 for the Five Nights at Freddy's movie on the 27th of October. TWENTY-TWO DAYS IN ADVANCE. Ticket was $14 (still high but not outrageously) for a seat near the back and center of the theater for 4:30 PM. Sounds okay, correct? Not in the eyes of these fools.
Firstly, they didn't bother to double check my ticket. I was supposed to see the movie in Theater 9 for 4:30 PM, as stated before. I walk inside to see that the movie was playing and more than halfway through (it started at 3:00). I specifically took the day off of work to go see this movie. We'll get to that in a second.
Second, when questioned, the person at the guest services desk said that he didn't know why I was given a bogus ticket. To be fair, he was very helpful and helped me find a new seat at a different viewing time in a theater that had open seats. I was rescheduled for a viewing at 8 PM. I could have worked that day and made enough money to book out an additional 11 seats.
Thirdly, I was not given any sort of notification at all of the change of viewing time. I had to submit my email in order to get my receipt and ticket number. they could have easily emailed me and told me that the time had changed.
There are three main points I am trying to get at here. One, they have proven themselves to be careless when it comes to checking pre-ordered tickets. Second, they seem to have no want to assist unless they are prompted to do so. Third, they show no thought to the people who have ordered tickets far in advance.
if they wish to fight me on this, take it to my email. My receipt and ticket number I will happily send to show exactly what transpired.
I hope the movie about a game series I have been with since 2015 makes up for the lackluster customer service. Very disappointed in a company that is supposed to have very good reputation cares so little about their source of income that willingly buys overpriced...
Read moreI will never go back!! Kids wanted to watch Demon Slayer so we drove an hour away so they could watch it. When we got there had no idea where to purchase tickets employees saw me walking around and never asked if I needed help. Went to go get our snacks and the lines were extremely long so I sent to kids to in to find their seat so they wouldn't miss any of the movie. Only 2 registers working and a mobile pick up line so only 2 people behind counter taking orders and it's a Saturday night for crying out loud!!!So place my order which was hard to do because when u get up to place your order someone had the bright idea to place the menu directly above the counter so u had to step back quit aways to look at. I asked for a cup carrier was informed they don't have any so they gave me a box. Went to soda fountain and only 1 was working I'm assuming because of covid but yet we can be hurdled together to purchase tickets and food. After I got done filling sodas was looking for butter and salt was informed that we had to ask for it when we order I was like would of been nice to know when I order!! So I picked up the 3 large buckets of popcorn and my daughter who is disabled was trying to help me with box that was to small to carry 4 large cups of soda so I ended up carrying box and a bucket of popcorn cus there was no way she could manuver it. Employees saw us struggling because we were standing next to a couple that were just walking around and never asked if we needed help.So 20 minutes later and I'm not exaggerating cus I looked at time as soon as I stepped in concession line we made it to our seats and daughter informed me I didn't purchase dubbed tickets(our movie was an anime so it was japanese and they didn't want subtitles) and I'm like sorry first time I order tickets from a machine. I told the manager we were never coming back here again and I told her about some of the inconveniences and she acted like she didn't even care. This place was way understaffed. How do they expect 2 people to get through all their customers b4 their movie starts...
Read morePretty upset, amc16 had a banner on there website and keeps coming up with excuses to not hand out the free mini posters.
They had the excuse there oh we have them but the are for employee's only due to copyright. If that's the case then why do hand out other free items and it's never an issue when you purchase tickets by clicking the link on the banner and selecting your day and time and seats after you clicked the get tickets button just for the promotion.
Since it's a copyright issue I will be suing Amc 16 for selling shirts, cups, popcorn buckets, Keychain, etc.,. For all movies shown there.
Also if Amc 16 isnt an imac, then they shouldn't have had the posters up front by the tickets ( we were shown by the person scanning the tickets) management is who told her that it was a Copyright issue.
Then they say oh it's for Imax and we aren't, then why do you have the box of posters, thay were on the front counter, that the worker pointed out and said yeah they are in that box, but I don't know who gets them.
Wasted movie trip, we would have waited to see this movie at home rather then help keep this place open. They lies and has a bug problem.
I guess we never go back to AMC16 again so tired of the lies just for the employees and their families to get what they want.
To add to my review if I would have checked the reviews previously my family and I never would have spent our $60 there. Do better with cleaning and better with hiding or just give them to the customers when you have them and aren't passing them out!
We would have went Showplace East or...
