Five Star is for Marsha only. The first part of my review was made before I went to pick up our food. A two Star is for the food. Dang!!! Marsha you were so AWESOME to talk to on the phone, so so friendly, helpful, I swear I have never called any restaurant to place a order and have someone like you, dont get me wrong I'm not saying the others were mean, I'm saying no one has been like you. You are unique, you are the kind of person that that people want to talk to, when we hung up I really wanted to call back just to talk to you, that is crazy I know, but I cant help it's your phone etiquette that is very unique. Thank you. I will leave another after we get our food. Hopefully I'm just as impressed. Ok I said I would give a review after we ate.... well i have eaten at Hacienda since 1983 and have always had the Ground Beef Wet Burrito and the Chips and Salsa, ( love them) everytime. Well this time, they must have changed the recipes for the sauce that covers the Wet Burrito and the White Cheese Dip because I couldn't hardly eat them. ( I have never nor can I now) Eat spicy food, this is the first time in 30 something years I couldn't eat the food, I'm so disappointed, maybe it was just the cook you has no regard for people who might not like super spicy food, for that reason it will be a very long time before I go back if I ever do and that thought makes me very sad, because I Love Hacienda, but scared to pay for...

With all do respect to those who gave this restaurant a 5 stars review, you definitely need to go and get checked by your doctor. This place is a joke. There nothing, NOTHING, jMexican about this place, and if this is considered TexMex, then Tex Med food is horrible. I literally got a small cereal bowl with warmed up frozen artificial chicken, and semi warm left over rice. Just by looking at it, I ask "This is the dinner plate for $8.99? And the poor waiters with an embarrassment look on her face said "Yes sir" I get it, is not the waiters fault, she was great, and she has to pay her bills just like everyone of us. But it was obvious she was embarrass by the food she brought me. It was less then a joke. I though they had hidden cameras and I was being punked! But to my surprise I wasn't. I'm ever going back to this place, even if they give me free meals for life. Great job for the waiters, But I hope she finds a place to work where she feels a little pride of what is she selling. And please don't get me starting on the chips and...

I have never rated a restaurant 1 star before, but....

1.) Five minutes before greeted at the door. 2.) Salsa tastes like ketchup, literally. The server says some customers say that even it is too spicy. Spicy is not the issue, though it is bland. The issue is flavor, there is none. Tomatoes, water, sugar and some pepper seeds = ketchup with some pepper seeds. 'Seafood' enchilada is made with Krab. The server says it is made with white fish, but it unrolls into a sheet and has the notorious orange markings of Krab, you decide. The chicken enchilada is filled with what I can only assume is canned chicken.

I can't really comment on the beef, rice, or beans as they are low quality ingredients and very difficult to mess up.

The chips were pretty good.

With all that said, the server was pretty good. She was friendly, checked up on me often and stayed on top of my drinks.

Over all, I understand...

The salsa is gross! All it is is tomato paste with a little bit of hot sauce mixed in. We told the waitress we were not fans and she said that she had grown up with the stuff, so she liked it. She then said they had a couple other options and brought those as well. Jalapeño Verde, and what she called as chunky salsa. The jalapeño verde probably had the best taste but just to spicy for me. And their version of chunky salsa was to sweet. It’s like they added sugar. It was not good. We looked at the other menu items and seen things were lacking. They didn’t even have a Queso cheese sauce. This is not an authentic Mexican restaurant and it doesn’t have your “normal favorite “ menu items you would normally order at typical Mexican restaurants. The reason I gave it an extra star was because the staff was super friendly and trying to be helpful. It’s not there fault what is on the menus.

Ok American Mexican food at reasonable prices. I had the chimichango... ground beef... w white quest. It was fine. I've definitely had better and more authentic. The rice was very overseasoned and again... not terribly authentic... kinda tastes like the box kind. My son had the chicken quesadilla... he said it was good. My mom had the fajitas. It was the best quality item at the table and she enjoyed it. I had a Pina colada.... which was tasty. We had friends eating with us too. One had a specialty quesadilla and a margarita. I wouldn't go back by my own choice, but if I were meeting others there I'd not object.

The flavors are bland and not authentic at all. All rice and beans were served in bowls and weren’t included with entrees. Okay chips but Ketchup flavored red salsa and funky fusion eats. Street tacos were served burnt with a mild salsa, lime ranch and soy sauce. Enchiladas were 90% cheese. Quesadilla was served wrong first but when corrected tasted okay. Food at best was edible. Waiter continually made the exact same jokes for each table about charging extra for any changes, was rather annoying.
