Selena's Hair Salon — Local services in Everett

I called and scheduled my appt for noon. When I arrived 5 min prior to my appt time she had just sat down another client and said I’d have to wait. She ended up asking the walk in to leave and come back. I showed Tam what I wanted and she proceeded to argue with me that my hair was not naturally curly. To the point I had to show her a photo of me with curly hair. She blew out my hair after washing, cut it dry, and then refused to style it. She ended up scrunching my DRY hair with mousse while I was explaining to her she needs to do that on wet hair, she spritzed my hair with the water a few times and then said we were done. I got home and see what she did and I’ve never been so depressed. I will never go back. If you have stick straight hair I’m sure she’s your gal. I don’t know what I’m going to do now. My hair was down to the middle of my back, I asked her to save as much as she could but because she cut it dry, she cut too much, she touched my back in a different place the show where my hair ended and it was about 4 in shorter than she indicated. I paid $50, and tipped $10 because I didn’t know how bad it was until I came home and tried to style it. I came in today as a walk in, I am so grateful for Tam! I just moved to the area and I haven’t had a good salon in years, the last haircut I had was uneven and poorly done, they clearly didn’t care how it turned out. Tam went the extra mile to not only fix my previous haircut, but to really make my hair look amazing! As a service professional myself, I really appreciate someone who really loves and cares about their work and pays attention to the little details, she does not compromise quality for speed and she is so friendly and professional. I found this salon recommended by someone on Facebook. It is close by where I live so I decided to call and give it try. Luckily, I got in right away! More clients came in after me so I was glad that I called first. It is not a type of “fancy salon” or provide “ fancy service” . The salon is very local, but clean and organized. The hairstylist also is an owner of the salon is friendly and nice. She listens to what you want and make sure you feel comfortable during the service.
