Something Safari — Local services in Excelsior

• Something Safari is awesome. Floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall toys. Toys from my childhood to toys from today. Toys for infants up to death (not to be morbid). I came in here looking for a pacifier clip. I have been striking out, but I found an awesome teether that attached to one of the pacifier clips I already own. There were a number of other toys that you find in boutique shops here in the toddler infant room. There are outdoor toys like swings. One of the coolest things was a light up saucer that you can swing on. Yes, I'm a big kid. There are zillions of boardgames, stuffed animals, Mad Libs... you name it. Best of all they have complementary gift wrapping. I highly recommend this toy store.

This place reminds me of what toy stores should look like but usually don't anymore. The shelves are packed but well thought out. Similar things are grouped in the same areas, which is particularly helpful in the board game area. There's a huge variety, from Lego to puzzles to pretend playsets, tactile / fidget toys, things that fly, things that roll, suckers and sweets and so much more.

A staff member asked us if we need help - turns out she was the owner, was extremely knowledgeable and gave great recommendations while making us feel welcome as out-of-towners. Next time we visit family we'll be...

Awesome local toy store that has everything you'd expect, but also tons of truly unique options. It's my go to place for finding gifts that stand out. Oh, and the place looks kind of magical in a Harry Potter sort of way.

Update on 12/29/207: Still loving this place and still say it reminds me of A Harry Potter like store!
