A must-stop for sushi lovers. As someone with Celiac disease, it can be difficult going out to eat, especially eating sushi. Miyabi is one of my favorite restaurants in the Lake Minnetonka area. They have a large selection of gluten free options on the menu including sushi, fried rice, pad thai, edamame, curry, soy sauce, and more. The service is always friendly and attentive and the sushi is fantastic. While it may take a little bit to get your food, as others have mentioned, it's because everything is freshly prepared to order. I really appreciate having delicious, fresh sushi every time I dine here. If you don't like sushi, there are several other items on the menu. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and they practice very safe social distancing/mask wearing during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are very accommodating to our toddler too, who mostly likes to nibble on plain rice and edamame. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you receive. Miyabi is truly a gem in the West Metro and my family absolutely loves dining here frequently. I hope the staff sees this and realizes how much they're appreciated for being part of the community.

Update: April 12 six of us had dinner there. Everything was outstanding. This is the best kept secret in the Twin Cities. I had guests from out of town and they were equally blown away.I was completely suprised at how great dinner was!! I eat sushi all over the Twin Cities, but this place has now moved to the top of my favorites. The portion sizes were well above average. Everything was fresh. The tempura was incredible. The prices are more reasonable than most other places and the service was impeccable. They also have a wasabi bloody Mary that is unlike anything I’ve ever had. Great diversity on the menu. There’s lots to eat if you don’t want traditional sushi.

Had a great experience at Miyabi! I got the shrimp tempura roll and it was delicious! The fried rice is a bit spicy (if you’re not used to much/any spice!) but it was overall SUPER tasty! We did have to ask for yum yum sauce with the rice- it didn’t come with it, which is different from most sushi restaurants but that wasn’t a problem, they were super quick with it! Super great service, food, and a nice quick walk to licks for ice cream after!

My girlfriend and I decided to try Miyabis on Jan 14th as we were craving sushi. Upon ordering it online, we noticed the order was ready within 2 minutes after we placed it. We thought it was a little odd. After picking it up and tasting it, it seemed fine at first. However, within an hour of finishing the California roll I began to have terrible stomach pain. It had felt like I had gotten punched in the stomach. I was then on the toilet for at least an hour. Just when I thought it was something else I ate, the following day my girlfriend threw up violently multiple times at work and was forced to leave. Today, we’re both still feeling ill and cannot leave the bed. We will not be visiting Miyabis again. If we wanted sushi that wasn’t fresh, we would’ve gone to the...

Food was average Japanese-American. Service was excellent and restaurant very nice inside. We tried the Thai peanut sauce with chicken, the Tempura Dinner and the Miyabi Nigiri Sushi. Of the three only the Miyabi Nigiri Sushi was above average. My son who spent six months in Japan said that sushi and roll were good but rice was not flavor or the correct texture to be authentic. The Tempura shrimp was good but breading on vegetables was lacking. Finally the Thai peanut sauce wasn’t peanutty enough. It was more a peanut oil than a sauce. Also the chicken in the dish was strips not pieces which could be eaten with crop sticks. Considering the price we were a little disappointed. Hopefully their other dishes are better. May try them...
