This is my first haircut at this hair salon. I usually don’t bother with reviews but the owner of this hair salon made me feel terrible about my natural hair. Here are a few reasons I’m giving this place a low rating: The actual prices do not match the prices on the website I have curly/wavy hair. Although my last haircut was uneven (done elsewhere), I’ve gotten good haircuts in the past without straightening my hair. She said that the haircut won’t be good without straightening my hair first so I let her do it and got charged extra. She didn’t use any heat protectant and the hair straightener was on high heat that I could see the smoke while she was straightening my hair and could even smell it, which really made me worry about my hair getting damaged I mentioned that I don’t like to straighten my hair and I provided reasons after she asked me why. One of my reasons is that I don’t want to damage my hair with heat. Her response was that my hair is already dull so there’s no point. She kept on going on and on about straight hair even though I told her that I like my natural curls. Finally, after my hair was straightened and then trimmed, she said that I now look pretty and young. I noticed a little part of my hair that needed to be fixed after she claimed that the haircut is done. She fixed it without putting a cover so my clothes and shoes got a lot of hair on them, which was difficult to remove Lastly, she thinks that people who give bad reviews as well as the people who believe them are stupid and...

I've been coming to Vivi for over 15 years and cannot imagine going anywhere else. Her knowledge of coloring and styles is profound and I have never once in 15 years left unhappy. Unlike many stylists Vivi actually listens to what you want and makes it even better than what you imagined. I have sent family and friends to her and every single person now swears by her. She is so professional and such a friendly person. Her prices are the best I have found for such high quality service and products. People see my hair after I leave her salon and think I paid a fortune. Vivis Salon is one of the greatest establishments in the area. I asked for a face frame and she cut the top of my hair, my baby hairs, super short. Now every time I put my hair up, the baby hairs stick out because they are so short. Terrible. Face frames are supposed to start at the jawline, hence the name "face frame". Plus she charged $200 for only a root touch up, a haircut and a shampoo. Which should have been $80 for the touch up and $25 for the hair cut and $10-15 for the shampoo. So how did she calculate $200?? I have no idea. Also, the color started to fade and looked bad and not a very accurate touch up or color correction . uprofessional. Bad jobs. No attention to detail. Will upcharge and not even tell you until after she is done....
