his place is hands-down one of the best kabob spots I’ve ever been to! The meat is always grilled to perfection — juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients, and the seasoning is spot on every time. I ordered the chicken and lamb combo with rice and a side of garlic sauce — and wow, every bite hit. The rice was fluffy and aromatic, and the salad on the side added the perfect freshness to balance the meal. Don’t even get me started on the naan — warm, soft, and perfect for scooping everything up. The service was friendly and fast, and the portions are generous for the price. Whether you’re grabbing something quick or sitting down with friends and family, this place delivers every single time. If you’re in the mood for real, authentic kabobs that satisfy — this is the spot. You won’t regret it!

This place is under new ownership & they have completely changed the menu. The food is really amazing, the quality is definitely on par. They have a really amazing lunch special for $8.99. Super affordable in today’s economy. They pay attention to detail in their food. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Lunch special, they serve it with Chicken tikka, rice, salad, chick peas & bread. I particularly love the salad mix, because they add red bell pepper, giving it a nice crunchy texture. They also add cranberry to the rice which is a really nice addition. The service is excellent, you are served right away & they serve you directly at table. Honestly you cannot beat their lunch special which is daily from 11:00-3:00p. Great new Halal food spot in Fairfax City.

Tried Grub Palace Kebab and Shawarma in Fairfax — and let’s just say, it was an unforgettable experience… but for all the wrong reasons. I ordered one chicken shawarma for $14, expecting at least something warm and edible. Instead, I got a shawarma that was colder than my fridge. The naan (used as the wrap) was so hard, I’m convinced it could double as a hockey puck. Chewing it felt like an arm workout. The chicken inside? Barely cooked and flavorless. They proudly announced “new management” and “new menu” — maybe they also need a new chef. Safe to say, my next shawarma will definitely be from anywhere else.
