The 1 star experience is for the cashier, Kyla and 2 other male associates. Shopping day was Sunday 6/5/22. If you want customers coming back to your store, then you need to put someone up front who is friendly and welcomes your customers because Kyla is not it. She does NOT want to be up there. There was no “hello”, “thank you for shopping at Grocery Outlet”, or “have a wonderful day”, whatever your script is supposed to be when training your associates. Only 1 register was open and she had the line almost to the back of the store. A customer had to come all the way up to tell her to call for back up and she took awhile to page for a backup. Besides her mind being elsewhere, she is a sloooooowwwww ringer therefore the long line and she didn’t care that she was taking her sweet time. She also offended the customer in front of me by rudely asking her if she’ll be using EBT because she requested a plastic bag, in which the customer said no. If asking every customer if they’re using EBT is part of your employee script, that’s just wrong on every level! Your store already states that it accepts EBT, so why does it matter what form of tender does a customer use?!? After she rang me up, she abruptly closed her register when she still had a line of customers waiting and yelled out that she had to go pee. There was a backup cashier, but she could’ve moved them over to the next register nicely. As for the 2 male associates, they walked around the front and saw how long the lines were and were hanging out and laughing. Not once did they hop on a register or find help. If they were on break, then they should not be on the floor in uniform! All employees should be trained cashiers to...
Read moreI shop at this store on a daily basis and almost every time I go in their miss priced items and I have spoken to management about this because it’s inconvenient. Today i went in pickup up an item and what do you know, miss priced (usually i just pay the price but today was just a day that sent me over) I asked to speak to the owner and I told him about the issues that’s been happening every since I’ve been shopping there, and I asked him to honor the price her refused even though it’s the law (look up business and professions code:12024.2) I said so your willing to lose customers over 2$ he said yes (I’ve been in customer service over 20 yrs and has never not one time told the customer it’s there fault for not reading the name on the sku. So he can definitely look forwarded to weights and measures giving him a visit and not only will I never shop there again I have let my family and friends know not to shop there also. The owner is the rudest most condescending person i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Our country love giving money to anyone...
Read moreGrocery Outlet is a great bargain. You can usually find brand name stuff $2-3 off if not more. I like that their ads will tell you that they anticipate a sale item to be in stock until a certain date. Speaking of dates, make sure you look at the label; a lot of the bargain is the item need to be used up right away. Also there isn't much variety, on different version of items for example you can find the standard flavor of PopTarts, but usually none of the frilly flavors. You can also find the occasional seasonal item that is still good, just not the right time to...
