I have come to this restaurant since I was little. It's always been a favorite until very recently.

On my family's last few visits, the service has been awful. I don't know if we have had the same male server (masks worn so couldn'tidentify) and not to seem sexist, but literally every time we get a male server, we also get ignored.

We aren't demanding, nor is it super busy when we have gone. We waited over 10 minutes last night for simple water refills.

The server took our order and did not return until the food was ready which was at least 10 minutes later. We are not demanding, but it is quite warm and we were pretty thirsty.

This specific visit yesterday was also so off, I asked for flour tortilla enchiladas vs corn. I don't know if the tortillas were old? But the "flour" tortillas tasted and felt as stiff as corn.

The chips tasted rancid as if the oil had gone off.

We understand the pandemic has hit everything hard. We allow for a lot. The hostess seating us actually spilled our salsa and we brushed it off as "life happens" and laughed. I say this so people get, we are not Karen's. We paid our bill and simply left.

Why am I writing this now, then? I am hoping the owners might see this and steer their business back to its once phenomenal food and...

We ordered take out. We noticed that we were over charged $10. When I called I was told they had a price increase. I told them I got the prices off their menu but apparently I should have gone to a different web site to see the menu. This website isn’t mentioned on their ad. How was I to know I about another site to go to. This gal was arguing with me, making it my fault that I was looking at the wrong menu. I asked to talk to the manager but she was busy and will have to call back. After a week I called but she was still busy. The gal on the phone still going over the same argument that i needed to go to this unposted website. About a week later the manager finally called. She started the same argument but she also said if she had to return the money for everyone calling about this they’d be out of business! So why not change your prices? She said the menu on her ad is from Grubhub or some other delivery service and can’t change the prices. I don’t believe that’s the case. Then she offered a credit for the overage but hung up before I could thank her. They can keep their credit, I won’t...

Feb 18 2022 around 330 4 pm we went El AZTECA in Fairfield. Omg biggest and last mistake i will make… tacos were ok… tostada had a funny taste maybe sour cream the enchiladas were awful I would usually cut with a fork… had to use knife and fork!!!! They tasted like they took a tortilla put meat in it rolled up and put sauce on it and forgot to bake. I asked the waitress if there was a new cook she sad no…I tried to eat enchiladas couldn’t same with tostada….she came back with bill I asked what did cook say? She told me cook said she would take it under consideration and watch it next time I said maybe she should taste what she sends out…. I have been going to this place for at least 25 or 30 years… but that was our last time!!!! Ok went back tonight 9/15/2022….omg a much better dinner!!! Happy cook was good!!! On purpose I ordered enchilada … IT WAS COOKED!!!!…so I will be...

I got the combination with a ground beef enchilada and chicken tostada. The rice was pretty peppery and the beans tasted homemade. The enchilada was fantastic as well. My husband got posole and it was delicious. We'll definitely come back when it's not so hot to have it again. Chips are served fresh and the salsa has a little spice to it. Best of all, the server was incredibly sweet and attentive. It seemed like she was serving all of the tables (multiple 2 tops, 4 tops, and 2 parties of 8+) and we never felt neglected. Great service!

My boyfriend & I found this place by accident. The food is fresh, hot, tasty to order. Guacamole is on point, tomatoes optional, we leave them off for my boyfriend, texture is great. We ordered the carne asada & carnitas street tacos, shrimp tacos, all great options. For those looking for Christmas tamales, they are currently taking orders. Unfortunately I have/did not take pictures. Prices are reasonable.

Good food. Plenty of seating. It's in a plaza that's kind of hidden. You will pay for extra chips and salsa. I like that the menu tells you what drinks are refillable for free and which aren't.
