This was our first time trying this food truck and it did not disappoint. It is very popular so they were out of their chicken option by the time we got there around 12:15pm on a Thursday. I have never liked lamb in the past and have tried it a few different times. The owner said his was the best and let me try it before ordering. He was an absolutely correct. It was beyond delicious, tender, juicy, and flavorful without the normal gamey taste I’ve had with other lamb. We ordered two lamb platters and they were inexpensive for the amount of food you receive. The platter includes meat over yellow/orange rice and a cucumber/tomato/lettuce salad topped with a creamy sauce and a spicy red sauce (can also get it on the side but it’s amazing, just add it). It comes with two triangles of pita as well. They are also selling drinks and we got to try the mango boba tea. It came in a can and was light and refreshing. The boba beads in the can are smaller than I’ve had before and, rather than being chewy, provide a burst of flavor when they pop in your mouth. Definitely going to try that again! To note: they are located in the parking lot down below Merchant street towards the river. It can be tricky to find but if you pull in the alley between Stumptown Ales and Yemen Coffee Hut, you’ll drive down a hill and it’s on the left at the bottom. While traveling through, we found this magical source of the best Takeaway anywhere. We had the Gyro and the combination plate. The quantities are enormous, the value is incredible, and amazing service / hospitality. The second time we visited, we were running late and would arrive about 10 minutes after closing. They prepared our food, we paid by credit card, and picked up the food after hours. You just can’t ask for a more kind and gentle owner. The food is perfectly seasoned, (one beautifully spicy, the other not), and melting your mouth flavor. Strongly recommend, 11 out of 10! We will make this a regular stop as we have occasion to pass...
