Earth Based Cafe — Restaurant in Fairmont

This place is 100 percent five stars and then some. We went there last night and wow what a treat all the way. We enjoyed the Smoked BBQ Sandwich, Baked Mac-n-Cheese, and the Steak & Cheese Salad, as well as two of their desserts (Cupcake and slice of cake). With many fabulous choices on the menu, it was hard to pick (but that is why we WILL be going back again and again). Yes, we should have taken pictures!!!!! The food was incredible and being plantbased, made for a tasty and health meal. Chatting with both the husband and wife was quite the treat. They more than show that they love what they do and they are doing what they love... serving incredible and healthy food to the fine people that frequent their location. Even if you are not plantbased, you are going to love this place. If you are interested, they have the famous Pepperoni Roll (shout out for the peeps of West Virginia)!!!!! I honestly could write pages about this place but will keep things simple. They have great food, are awesome people, and make for an enjoyable place to eat. They are looking to expand with a wine area and microbrewery. Please, please, do yourself, your health, your family, your friends, and the world a favor... check this place out as it knows what it is doing. They are making the enjoyment of plantbased eating even more accessible as well as enjoyable. You will NOT be disappointed. So.... what are you waiting...

Looks like a brewery just opened for business outside, you walk in to an open space ready to grow and an inviting host waiting to feed you with a smile. All plant based / vegan, with a plethora of gluten free options for me. And the menu is so well laid out, I nearly ordered all of them.

When I got there, the owner invitingly offered, "Zack?" and brought my food forward. When I mentioned dessert, without asking she gave me the gluten-free layout. Ordered 1 of each.

When she asked if we were new to the area, I mentioned we're off to Colorado for my grad degree (MENV) and she kindly invited me to "when we come back" to visit the upcoming vegan wine bar in July.

They have a wide variety of comfort foods on their menu and are all vegan. The food is made to order with fresh ingredients that wake up your taste buds immediately. Recently, I had their nachos and they were delicious, my new favorite…all house made: chili sauce, three cheese nacho cheese, sour cream topped with lettuce, bell peppers (they are hiding under the cheese), red onion, and jalapenos. My husband and I have had their steak n cheese, chiKn wings, sriracha black beans, and several other meals and have never been disappointed. They offer sweet treats made by local vendors to top of your meal (the triple berry cheesecake is my favorite). It is clean and welcoming with lush, green houseplants throughout the café. The owners are friendly and are available to answer any questions we have had.
