Definitely a place to stay and grow. The studio is beautiful, clean, and well-mirrored (new word)? I met Kat at a restaurant she was giving dance lessons. I was impressed with the class she taught and asked if she had a studio. Fortunately, she was just opening one up and gave me her card. I made it out to a class and instantly felt like I was a better dancer afterward. Her classes are fun and informational. Unlike some places, she's patient and gives you constructive criticism in a way that makes you want to do it right to make her proud and not because you're afraid of the reaction.

Her classes are a good mix between Dominican style and modern. I've always wanted to get some Dominican footwork in, but also didn't want to be left behind when I go out because a lot of people do more modern stuff. The classes have been a perfect mix so far. Prices are also great ($10/class, $85 for 10 classes). I'm they'll go up after more people start discovering her studio, so I suggest going now.

Amazing studio in the Northern Virginia area! Check it out for yourself. You will find more than a dance studio though, you will find a family. I enjoy the amazing techniques I have learned over the last year. This was my first attempt getting more serious about dancing and I believe I came to the right spot. I learned about Ferocity through a recommendation, in which I am very grateful for. That is why the is review is important, so I can let the rest of the world know what a gem this studio is for all of us living in the DMV area. I have not looked back ever since. Ok, let's see! I’ve been a member of Ferocity for two years and during that time I’ve learned much more about bachata music, social dancing and performing. I’ve also become a much better lead and made lots of new friends. Kat Arias and her team will break down the instruments involved in bachata and help you recognize them when dancing. They will explain the different types of bachata music and help you learn the footwork and body movement involved. I think with Kat’s training team the biggest positive is that you are purchasing Kat’s experience, her trained eye, her ear for music, and her expertise in teaching. I ask her anything, no matter how nuanced, and she always answers. The group of people who attend Kat’s class are friendly and go out to dancing after class sometimes so your bachata dancing network definitely grow.
