I would like to express my recent poor experience at this store.
This morning, I returned three nail polishes for my daughter as they were unused and within the store's specified return timeframe. However, my experience was marred by what I perceived as an unwelcoming attitude from the owner.
During the transaction, the owner made two comments that I found to be ignorant and reflective of poor business acumen. Firstly, he suggested I advise my daughter not to purchase and return nail polishes, asserting that "he didn't pick them out for her, she did." It's important to note that the products were unused and compliant with the store's stated return policy, as indicated on the receipt.
Secondly, I was informed that returning products in the morning is discouraged because "Chinese people don't like returns in the morning." Regardless of any cultural beliefs or superstitions, conveying such information to a customer is unacceptable. I checked the store and website for any signs of this policy but found none. It's crucial to emphasize that cultural generalizations are inappropriate, especially in a diverse country like America. (Note: I am Chinese myself.)
If the owner strongly believes in specific return practices, it would be beneficial to update the store's return policy accordingly. Furthermore, considering the cultural diversity of customers, it's essential to refrain from making assumptions based on ethnicity.
I sincerely hope that my experience is an isolated incident, and that others won't be treated similarly. My intention in sharing this feedback is not to harm your business but to encourage positive changes and better...

Service will be 1000% better and they will actually be happy to help you! The men at the counter who check you out are completely ignorant and rude. They had no idea what this one customer was asking for and being a professional nail tech I gave her some advice as anyone should, and the one guy working there muttered well she just made us lose a customer! You guys didn't even have the product and was going to sell her something different that wasn't even what she asked for just to make a dollar. I'm disgusted because this isn't the first time I've seen them lie and do shady business!
Well now you've lost 2 customers and we have gone here for years over the last 10+ years, You will never get another dime of our money. Do better and clean up your attitudes and do better for the clients. Being honest and helpful...
Read moreThere was no sign of "Final sale or No Return, Refund, and Exchange Policy" anywhere. Usually beauty supply stores have 30 days of original purchase date return policy, but this US Skyline Beauty Supply store, Falls Church, Va. doesn't allow it even with proof of receipt. I came in a day after, with a receipt after purchasing many new polish bottles and wanted to return/exchanged them after realizing I picked the wrong colors. He said that those aren't his polishs and old. That upset me the most and that's BS. They should have be more organized and labeled each item to avoid the mistakes they've made. Instead of labeling himself a liar and rapaciousness sale person in the customers' eyes. The whole idea is you can't decline when your customer have a receipt and blame the customers directly for returning an item. This is a beauty supply store they're selling to professionals, not a yard sale. Seemed...
