Three years ago S&S installed my irrigation system when the lawn was soaking wet due to a week of rain, leaving uneven terrain which is now difficult to mow. I informed the owner about the shoddy work, and he told me not to worry it will settle, after three years it hasn't settled. I hired S&S to winterize my system the first year, and two lines burst in the spring due to water left in the lines. They tried to make me pay for there error. Last year they did a proper job in the winterizing, so I decided to hire S&S again this season. They then sent us one invoice and it was misplaced, and when the second statement came after thirty days, we realized our error. Due to being out of town for work, the check was mailed on week five, but S&S must be short of cash because they broke a Federal Credit Law that protects consumers. Someone from S&S called and left a message with a secretary at my office that I owed $75, and needed to pay this ASAP. Calling and threatening someone's employers over a $75 bill, which is less than 60 days old, should deter anyone from doing business with this company. It's unfortunate because I had hired S&S to install a system at a previous home and they did a great job. Read moreI have purchased probably close to 20 trees from S&S over the last 3-4 years. Most recently they planted 6 new Swedish Aspen trees in my back yard. The purchase process was great with the employee helping me determine which trees to select. I specifically want to call out RYAN and the other 2 guys who were at my home this week to install the trees. They went out of their way to make sure I had my trees positioned correctly, even going to the extent of pointing out that the flags I had placed were 2" out of alignment with the trees on the other side of the yard. More than anything, I appreciated their attention to detail and their pleasant demeanor. Digging in trees in our hot weather can't be a whole lot of fun, but this team didn't cut corners and left my yard looking wonderful. They also saw that one of my other trees that was damaged in a storm earlier this summer needed some staking, and did that for me. They took the time to make sure that everything was perfect. Putting trees in is not inexpensive, and honestly, I had questioned whether I should have done it myself... but I can tell you, after the work was done, i was grateful that I hired S&S to handle this for me. Read moreTried to coordinate for an estimate on a landscaping project. I took time off work to meet them, but the estimator was not there (he says he showed up and waited, but its also not in my security system logs. If he was there, a phone call to the customer would have also prevented all this).
I tried calling to reschedule, and they said they would have the estimator call me back that day, but by 4:50 I hadn't gotten a call back. Since they closed at 5, I called them to see what was going on. They said "I don't know what to tell you." I wanted to find out how to reschedule or what to do next, just so I knew what to expect. The guy on the phone ended the call by hanging up on me without telling me what I should do or giving me his name. I would have been happy with rescheduling, but the run around on the phone, and hanging up on a customer was terrible service.
