Uptown Cheapskate worst experience in my life at your store. (9/25/2021) Rudest customer service and your employees were talking about me behind my back. My daughter hear them. When I mentioned that I was ready to check out and called them out on the gossip behind my back. I did not get an apology. The girls behind the counter actually looked like they were deer in the headlights. I will never come back. I prefer Platos closet to UC. And that is not saying much. I will be mentioning this to all who ask where to purchase second hand clothing stores in Fargo. I will refer them to My Best Friend’s closet, Clothes Mentor and the other thrift stores in Fargo. Uptown Cheapskate well my daughter over heard it and they were talking about the 4.00 that you would give me for the one pair of jeans that I brought in. I chose to donate them instead of taking the money. My daughter said they were being rude about it. You may think it doesn’t sound like your staff, but with the deer in the head light look when I mentioned it at checked out I believe that your staff was caught in doing something that they should not have been doing. I think you and your staff needs more training. Number one rule don’t talk about customers especially when they are still in the store. When it comes to their employees they are friendly and inviting. But what I’ve observed is that they are not fair in their purchase prices… I realized this when i brought a bin of clothes, most of it being from Express, a Michael Kors handbag and shoes set and Guess sneakers and some clothes and jeans. Long story short they offered me $60 for everything to which I was surprised. Mind you, my MK bag had its original tag of $498 attached in mint condition plus the shoes.. to offer me $60?? Was an insult to me. But when i asked the gal to take the clothes and Guess sneaker and took back my MK bag and shoes, the offer was $37 which meant they were only paying me less than $30 for my bag and shoes.. i felt insulted.

If I could leave 0 stars I ABSOLUTELY would. I generally don’t ever have issues when coming to this location, unfortunately I was more than underwhelmed when I sold them my brand new Lululemon scuba along with a white fox set all totaling over $200 and then they attempted to give me $30 for everything?! The gentleman that I spoke to about getting at least 40$ for my items was more than unprofessional. On top of this, I asked where in the world they got the pricing for my items and the guy said Walmart. If anyone knows about White Fox, he would know that it’s a boutique strictly sold out of Australia. Regardless, I’m never a “Karen” Type of individual, but I certainly am not about to let somebody run me out of my money or my nice clothes, I’d rather give them away for free than be robbed blind.
