(Long review).not worth the $48..1 sandwich, small order of wings, small fries, 2 cans of pop. 1 canolli. When we arrived, the front server was nice and good customer service. Me and my husband ordered the 8ct buffalo wings, buffalo chicken philly, side of fries and 2 cans of pop,and 1 canolli. Menu says add fries and pop for $3.99. It wasn't rang up as a combo like the menu says it was rang up separately, it was about $.90 more and I already tapped my card.... the cheese steak was a bit disappointing, first lack of flavor, chicken was practically charred on the flat top, seamed like they only gave us a single slice of cheese, and they sauce the did add was pretty bland. My buffalo wings were decent, good size basic buffalo sauce you can get at the store. The fries though. Wayyy over cooked not black but dark brown they looked ok but they were so crispy they had no soft middle and were basically oil. We also had a canolli it was good, the shell wasn't super cruspy but not expected when u have a moist center, also not sure what they are supposed to taste like as we havnt ever had one made fresh. Atmosphere felt a bit cold tables, chairs , tile flooring pop can cooler by front register when u walk in and kitchen is completely closed off. Almost feels like...
Read moreLot to work out on the service end. I heard good things about the food, and was also warned about how busy it was, so I placed an online order an hour in advance for a 1:30 pickup.
Unfortunately, there is no separate check-in counter or anything of that nature inside, the line was long, and the staff ferrying food from the back refused to make eye contact with anyone, so it was 1:40 before I was able to flag anyone down. My order then didn't make it to me until 1:45. Not great, but excusable.
However, it wasn't until I drove away that I found the side of whiz I paid extra for was not in the bag. They also neglected to give me the ketchup that was part of the order. Sure made eating the fries difficult, as there's nothing special about them on their own.
I reached out to ownership privately through the Taste of Philly website to try and alert them of my concerns, but despite a promise on that page of hearing back within 48 hours, I have not heard anything in the few weeks since I sent them a message. That's why I'm here, to let you as a consumer know - the sandwiches are good, but it's probably not worth spending your hard-earned money on this place until they figure out several aspects of...

The negative things first, and I will acknowledge that I know they JUST opened and are still touching things up. However, they had no floor mats, warning signs, anything in the entrance to help with safety. That was a very risky thing to miss, especially on a snowy day, as it could be an easy lawsuit for someone. We came mid dinner rush and received our food in about 10 minutes, not bad at all. The portion size are good value for money, yet it's a little disappointing the sandwiches don't come with even a few oz of fries. The issue with coming at this time was there was no one to clean the floors and tables so it kind of ruined the atmosphere for me. I'm sure with the addition of more staff and once everything has been squared away with the start up, that will not be an issue.
Our food was very good, the bread is what every restaurant in town ought to use over a hoagie, yuck. The meat and onions were so good and I unfortunately assumed wiz came on the Original, but I have to try it like that for my next visit.
Overall, I was glad to have tried it and will give it a couple weeks...
