On my first visit to Fantasy Jewelry, I brought 2 watches with me to have the batteries replaced (a menâs Guess watch and a womenâs ESQ watch). Emil, the owner of Fantasy Jewelry, asked me whether either watch had been running within the last 6 months, and I said no â the ESQ especially was quite old and had not been running for several years. I dropped off the watches on a Wednesday afternoon, and by Thursday afternoon I received a text from Emil. I called him back, and he indicated that he replaced the battery on the Guess watch and it was now running great, but unfortunately he found that the motor on the ESQ watch was no longer working. He gave me options for the ESQ watch, including the option for him to buy a replacement motor. He was understanding when I said I would need to think about it (due to the age of the watch, I am debating whether it is worth repairing). He did not charge me anything for opening up the ESQ watch and investigating the motor issue, which I appreciated â he only charged me for the successful replacement of the battery on the Guess watch.
On my 2nd visit to Fantasy Jewelry, I brought two more watches (a womenâs Fossil watch and womenâs Anne Klein watch) to have their batteries replaced, and I also brought a womenâs 10k gold garnet ring to see if he would want to purchase it. He mentioned that if he were to buy it from me, he would melt it down for scrap gold, and he suggested I might be able to get more for it if I try selling it on Facebook Marketplace first. I felt that his appraisal of the ring was very fair, and I felt like he had my best interests at heart in trying to help me get the most value for the ring.
Emil was very responsive to text messages and phone calls. I felt that his pricing was fair, as was his appraisal of my ring. This business deals largely in cash, so I recommend that customers have cash on-hand when dropping off items to be repaired (as Emil will collect a deposit for the work) and have cash on-hand to pay your balance when you pick up your items.
Thanks again, Emil, for the...

Read moreI was looking for a jewelry repair shop to repair my jump ring on my rose gold necklace. I did a Google search and came across this place. I read through about 10 reviews and decided to make a visit. I drove from Roseville to Farmington to receive service. It's about 35mins. I wasn't worried about the location seeing as though my eyebrow lady is right down the street on Halsted. I found the location of the shop perfectly fine inside the grocery store. Emil was of course working when I arrived. He saw me at the counter and quickly greeted me. I told him I was hoping that he could help. I laid my broken necklace on the counter and he said he could help. I was so relieved that he could. And he said it would only take 30 mins. He did mention that he didn't have a rose gold jump ring, but he did have a gold one. I said that was fine. You can't tell the difference and no one would see it anyway. I browsed the collection of jewelry while he worked. I found so many nostalgic peices that I had to buy 1 for myself! To fix my necklace the price was $50. I was happy with that. I did up buying a gold old school ring and charm. I couldn't resist. I'm in my 30s, but I absolutely love old school gold jewelry. Emil was very nice and courteous. I had him show me a few pieces and he wasn't bothered at all. The 2 pieces of gold I purchased from him, came out to$375. Which was fair. They are beautiful pieces. Not only did he fix my chain, but he also cleaned my rose gold cross for free. And he shined up my new purchases. He also sized my new ring for free. As other customers have said, you can't beat his customer service. Emil is outstanding! I'm so happy that I found this business. I will be back for more gold pieces. Thank...
