We were looking for Pakistani food and this place definitely has it! It’s worth the drive from wherever you are coming from. We had the puri halwa and an order of Haleem. The puri’s were the fluffiest, lightest, non oily and best tasting puris we’ve had in a very long time. They prepare their own dough and make these from scratch which you can tell and taste! The Channa’s were cooked fresh and had a very nice distinct taste of their own as did the aloo. The Halwa was excellent as it had a very smooth flavor. The Haleem and naan were very good. Haleem was not a bit oily and just the right amount of flavor. Nothing was over spiced or over cooked either! Naans were hot and fluffy, a nice size and cut nicely for serving. This place doesn’t offer a buffet but the food is so fresh and flavorful that you walk out satisfied knowing you had super fresh hot food that hasn’t been sitting in a warmer! Everything was served to us fresh and hot and nice portions. Very clean, nice and simple place to have a peaceful meal. It’s a small place but that’s what adds to its charm. The food was so good that we ordered more food to take for dinner. Good selection of items and variety on the menu. The owners were super nice. We would definitely go back here to eat!

This restaurant is a literal mom and pop hole-in-the-wall authentic Pakistani restaurant and it’s amazing! We’ve come here several times and usually it’s when our family is visiting from out of state. Every time without fail, our guests love the food from here. Our go to’s: Aloo Samosas Chicken 65 Chicken Biryani Beef Nihari Zayeqa BBQ platter Halwa Puri platter The food is amazing here and full of flavor. Everything tastes fresh, the naan is great. It’s not overly spicy like some places that just kill a dish by making it intolerably spicy. You can’t expect much from service since it’s a self-service restaurant, however, if you ask the owner for anything, he’s always helpful. It’s very obvious that this restaurant focuses solely on perfecting their food with their disposable to go boxes that they serve the food in. I personally don’t care about a restaurants ambience if the food is that good. I did notice in all the times we’ve dined in, a lot of people come in for take out orders. If you love authentic Pakistani food and don’t care about service or ambience, definitely give this place a try.

Update to my review from 8 years ago First off, one of the best places for Pakistani biryani and grill in the whole Detroit metro. If you want better, drive to Chicago. Haven't been everywhere there is to offer here, but let me tell you, very hard to best this spot. Food is fast, it's spicy, it's got all the aroma, and most importantly it's 💯 authentic. Spared no expense to recreate the taste of the motherland. Make this your go to lunch spot for South Asian cuisine, you won't regret it. For dinner, definitely have the Nihari, it's my favorite dish and no restaurant gets it this right. There's a better place, but that's my mom's house and she doesn't cook for outsiders. The ambiance could do with some updates, but someone should offer to spruce up the walls for some grub, it'll be well worth it.

Avoid if you have food allergies!!! Also so rude, I tried to order something without dairy, it was a very difficult conversation on the phone, and did not even work out. They told me the biriyani did not have dairy, but when I got there and asked again they said, "it just has a little bit of dairy" what!? Ok so after asking for something without dairy and being clear that it was an allergy and making sure there would be no cross contamination I get there and everything I ordered has dairy in it! AND they were soooo rude to me! She told me I was asking way too many questions on the phone! Clearly I didn't ask enough questions because I ended up with nothing I could eat! All the containers were Styrofoam, definitely skip this place. Everyone else said their food was not that good anyways as I ate nuggets with the kids. Totally baffling, I have never had such a bad...
