Last week, I had the pleasure of dining at Desi Ruchulu, a newly opened Indian restaurant in Farmington Hills. The experience was nothing short of a culinary adventure, tantalizing my taste buds with authentic Indian flavors.

To kick off the evening, I tried the Curry Leaves Chicken and Kodivepudu starters. Both dishes were exceptional in taste, offering a perfect blend of spices and flavors. The Curry Leaves Chicken was particularly noteworthy for its unique use of curry leaves, adding a fresh and aromatic touch to the dish.

Next up was the Chicken Majestic. While the flavors were on point, the dish was slightly overshadowed by an excessive addition of sour cream. A more balanced use of this ingredient would have enhanced the dish's overall appeal.

The main course included Garlic Naan paired with Andhra Chicken. The naan was perfectly cooked - soft, fluffy, and with just the right amount of garlic. The Andhra Chicken was a standout, its spicy and rich flavors embodying the essence of Andhra cuisine.

The star of the night, however, was the Hyderabad Chicken Dum Biryani. It was a delightful surprise, capturing the authentic taste and essence of this classic dish. The rice was perfectly cooked, the spices well-balanced, and the chicken tender and flavorful. It truly felt like a piece of Hyderabad on my plate.

Overall, my experience at Desi Ruchulu was a blockbuster. Despite the minor hiccup with the Chicken Majestic, the restaurant shines with its authentic flavors and quality dishes. It’s a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of India in...

I came here solo for lunch on a weekday and was the only person in the restaurant. The host (a young man) was also the server and let me know they opened a week or so ago. He handed me the menu and then waited next to my booth while I ordered. I ordered the garlic nan and chicken tikka masala. He said the mango lasso was very good, so I ordered that as well. The server decided to hang around my table talking to me the entire time I was waiting for my food. I was trying to get some work done on my phone, but he wasn’t picking up on my social cues. Finally my food came out and he stood there staring at me while I ate it. He didn’t speak, but wouldn’t leave. There was so much awkward silence and staring and I’m not a fan of people just watching me eat. FINALLY, a couple walked in and he was paying attention to them. But after about a half hour of uninvited staring and awkward conversation, I hurried to eat so he wouldn’t come back over. As far as the food goes, it was really really good. The ingredients were all so fresh and all the spices harmonized. The awkward waiter was not wrong, the mango lassi was delicious and I’m glad I got it. I would have probably ordered more food had I not been so turned off by the situation. I will absolutely order for DoorDash or pick up and send my...

I recently visited Desi Ruchulu while in the area. I had an excellent experience here.

The food here is excellent! I have eaten at many Indian restaurants in the area and this is one of the best. I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo, among other dishes. All of the food came out fast and was very tasty. The flavors in the dishes here are superb.

One thing that positively surprised me was the quantity of lamb meat in the Lamb Vindaloo. There was a large quantity of meat in the vindaloo, which tasted great and had excellent flavor.

The service here is good, and we were seated quickly. As mentioned before, the food came out quickly.

The ambiance in the restaurant is great! Excellent music videos were playing during my visit. The restaurant is also clean and well-organized.

Compared to other Indian restaurants, Desi Ruchulu is one of the best. The dishes are flavorful and come out fast. The service is also good. There is no area in which Desi Ruchulu does not perform well.

To conclude, Desi Ruchulu is an excellent Indian restaurant. The food is great and serving sizes are amazing. The service here is also good. The restaurant is also clean and well-organized. Overall, Desi Ruchulu is an excellent...

Desi Licious, Indian Restaurant in Farmington Hills is a hidden gem worth trying. It offers a wide variety of authentic dishes. Their buffet lunch spread is good but leave a lot to desire. I tried the Saturday buffet lunch in a get-together of four. The Achari Chicken stood out with its flavor and spices. The Mixed Veg Curry was delicious and satisfying. The Dal was prepared well, a nice addition to the buffet. The Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani was average. The Butter Chicken was okay, but not exceptional. The Aloo Gobi was just okay, not a bad dish. The ambience and atmosphere were cozy and we were the only other group having lunch at the place. I would expect more customers to be there on a Saturday but given that the Hindu Navratri events are ongoing at various places around the town, could be reason for low footfalls. The staff is friendly and attentive and there is a free parking lot. Overall it was a great value for Indian food lovers at the price of $18.99 per person for the weekend buffet. I would rate it 3.5.

We came here on the 2nd day after they opened, and I have to say we really liked this place! Our group had 9 people in it, and everyone thought the food was delicious and high quality. We had some vegetarian and meat appetizers, as well as as vegetarian and meat mains. Also some desserts. Everything I tried was delicious, but the standouts were Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Majestic, Chicken 65, and Hyderobadi Biryani. The Garlic Naan here was delicious as well. For desserts, the Double Ka, and Gulab Jamoon were really strong. Service was great - our server was super attentive and friendly. Decor was clean and modern. I have to say this place is a cut above most other Indian restaurants in the area - keep up the good work! We will definitely be back!
