I really want to give this place a 5 star. I love the concept and I'm all about homegrown. I garden, I shop whole foods, I'm into non-GMO etc etc. I was sorta disappointed. There are many fresh veggies that look great, don't get me wrong. There is some nice canned jams etc. But look, it's a Saturday and this your highest probable clientele day out there. The TURN OVER of rotting or multiple molded produce (ie check the harbanaro bin ) should be done frankly daily. However, at a minimum, thus should be done prior to the weekend. We have poor green onions that many parts of each stalk have gone brown and we couldn't find a single one that was worth purchasing. In addition, if a watermelon or cantaloupe explodes due to dropping or rot -CLEAN it up! Don't leave it, all at the bottom of the empty barrel or box. Lastly, lazy people managing the front. Two were on their phones with one girl with her leg up resting and barely taking the time to check you out. There was Some teen kid laying his head on the windowsill surfing the net, turned away from any customers. Maybe a break room for staff that don't serve a purpose. Although, I could think of plenty that could be accomplished. The ONE woman that did address was the main individual that was functioning. Additional Suggestions - GREETING the customers, literally find a way to not walk THROUGH the bathroom and look at a dirty toilet to enter the back room. Mind you a door sign saying "this is not a bathroom?" Yet clearly a toilet and sink with two locking doors?? Take the time to print out some labels and laminate them (it's really easy and cheap) so the labels are not in crayon. The prices were nice and fair. However, for now I will continue to shop whole foods, food stands and the...
Read moreI’m so happy to have this place here in Farmington! Its location is perfect for people in the surrounding towns as well! I was getting so tired of the local grocery stores have such bad produce and passing it off like nothing has changed when everyone knows it has. The fruits and vegetables offered at Harrod’s are phenomenal quality and the prices are like a dream out of another economical time! I have tried the peaches, peppers, tomatoes, melon, cucumbers, squash and berries all of them remind me just how much of the taste and quality I’ve been missing out on at the...
