Let me start by saying that Rob (Manager) is an absolute gemâtruly a legend and VIP in the jewelry world. Before coming to Michaelâs, I visited five other jewelers in search of the perfect engagement ring. At those places, I felt like I was speed dating for diamonds, but all I got was a lineup of bad matchesâpushy salespeople more interested in my wallet than my story. Michaelâs, though? They flipped the script entirely. From the moment I walked in, it felt like reconnecting with familyâlike that one cousin who always knows how to make you feel at home, even if you havenât seen them in years.
The second I met Rob, I knew I was in good hands. He didnât just listenâhe understood. I told him exactly what I wanted, and not only did he make it happen, but he made me feel like I was starring in a heist movie where he was the mastermind ensuring everything went flawlessly. Rob wasnât just my guy; he was the guy. The hype man, the ring bodyguard, the one who made sure I was confident every step of the way. And during one particularly rough night, Rob even offered to personally bring the ring to show my familyâproving yet again how much he genuinely cared about making this experience special.
âAnd Mayte? Shout out to the hand model of the year! The way she modeled that ring, I thought Rob was about to grab a fog machine and blast some BeyoncĂ© in the background. He was in the back hyping her up like, âYour fiancĂ©eâs hand is about to shut down engagement season!â If this jewelry gig doesnât work out, Iâm convinced Mayte has a hand-modeling contract with Vogue waiting for her.
But hereâs the kickerâafter I bought the ring, Rob FaceTimed me like an overexcited best friend celebrating a major win. When I picked it up, he checked in like my personal engagement coach, offering tips, encouragement, and probably wouldâve handed me a Gatorade and a pep talk, like I was about to propose at the Super Bowl halftime show. The day of the proposal, he made sure I was ready, and I half-expected him to show up with a headset and clipboard yelling, âWeâre live in 3âŠ2âŠ1!â
After she said yes, I swung by to show Rob the ring on her finger. His reaction? Pure prideâlike weâd just uncovered a diamond so rare it deserves its own Netflix documentary. The man practically started planning a parade for us right there in the store. If hype-man energy could be bottled, Robâs would be top shelf!
Moral of the story: Find a jeweler who cares about your story, not just your bank account. If Rob ever starts selling anything elseâcars, houses, tacosâyou already know Iâm calling him first. This wasnât just a purchase; it was a memory weâll...
Read moreI had a very pleasant experience shopping for and purchasing an engagement ring at Michaels (Westfarms) and thoroughly enjoyed working with a sales team led by Sylvia and Monika. Despite living in upstate NY, I'm familiar with this Michael's location from my time working in Westfarms while in college. After returning to the area for a wedding I decided to do some window shopping with my partner as we had just starting talking about a possible engagement. Despite being very unsure of what we were looking for both Sylvia and Monika were very patient with us and allowed my partner to look at, try on, and ask many many many questions about all the different rings and styles. At this point we were mainly trying to figure out what my partner did NOT like so I'd have a better path to follow when picking out an engagement ring. We left that day with my girlfriend very interested in two different ring designs for two different reasons; she liked the setting of one ring and the band of another. A few months passed, and after shopping around locally and spinning my wheels I decided I'd follow-up with Sylvia when I returned to Connecticut to visit family. After a brief explanation of what my girlfriend had liked about the two rings she was most interested in from the previous visit, Sylvia offered the perfect solution----She stated that their jewelers could combine what my partner liked about each ring into a single unique ring. Perfect! I then spent the rest of the visit looking at diamonds and settled on one that was within my budget and would fit the ring perfectly. I was very pleased with all the options that Sylvia presented, and that she never once tried to upsell me with an option or diamond that was outside the budget I had mentioned earlier. I made the purchase that day (Sylvia laid out some terrific finance options) and stayed in constant contact during the design and manufacturing process. The ring was ready much sooner than I anticipated which allowed me to move forward much quicker with my engagement plans. Overall I couldn't be happier and look forward to visiting again to pick up matching wedding bands. Thank you for such a stress...
Read moreOne star in order to write this review. I would like to start off by saying that we had always had a great experience with Michaels from 2015 till 2022 with Sylvia as our go to person . Once this Michaels store at the West Farms Mall changed management Robert Eshou, the service went down hill. We purchased our wedding rings in November of 2021. I had my cushion cut diamond which I purchased from Michaels in 2017 added to my new wedding band. On a regular visit to Michaels for cleaning at the end of 2022, the manager notice my peek-a-boo diamond had fallen out. Ok, we need it fixed. He then tells me that we had not purchased the warranty. Now this was a shock to us as a warranty was never presented to us at the time of purchase. We spent over 15K at this store, why would we not purchase a warranty for $300? Ok, we tell him just fix it. I pick up my wedding band, a few weeks pass by and I notice my peek-a-boo diamond is missing again and my cushion cut diamond is lose. Take it back to Michaels, he tells me that now it's the other peek-a-boo diamond that has fallen out, and at this point we were frustrated. He then proceeds to tell me we can upgrade, he would give me 7K for my ring but I would have to spend double that amount to get that deal. We at that point took my wedding band and left. Have not worn my wedding band due to not wanting my diamond to fall out. Last week I took my wedding band to a local jeweler Farmington Jewelry and he tells me that the peek-a-boo diamond that fell out was the one they fixed. Then the shocker was that under my cushion cut diamond the base was cracked which have the prongs lose. I would of definitely lost my diamond. So needless to say the I would never go back to your store at the West Farms Mall again, the trust is completely ruin. I would definitely be telling my family and friends about my experience and take our business to the Farmington Jewelers...
