Had my worst dining experience here. I waited for 20 minutes to get seated while the only one waiting and people were doing nothing. I waited twenty minutes to get asked what drink I wanted, I waited twenty minutes to get that drink. I waited twenty minutes to get asked what appetizer I wanted. Waited twenty minutes to get that appetizer. Waited twenty minutes to get asked what kind of pizza we wanted. Waited another twenty minutes before I lose my patience and speak to my waitress. I was told she was sorry, she forgot to put in the order, and told she would ask her manager about giving me a free desert. I said okay, but I do not want a desert, I wanted to eat and go shopping, but now the malls closing and I can’t even do that. Wait five minutes for mediocre pizza. Wait five minutes for the chef/manager lady(?) to then come out and explain to us that she got the order fifteen minutes ago and she made it in fifteen minutes. I am not sure why she thinks I care for her fifteen minutes out of the many I was there for. She tried explaining to us why her time on making the pizza was okay when my problem was the total time everything took. It could’ve taken her fifteen minutes to make the pizza but the waitress already told me she forgot to even put the order in. I ask her to leave us alone and let us eat. She tells me no… that she came over here to talk. I ask her again to leave us alone and let us eat the food we have. Continuing the smirky attitude she has had the entire time she leave. I wait twenty minutes for them to ask if I want a box. Twenty minutes for them to come take my card. Once they take my card, it is put on a table and left unattended for another ten minutes while she cashed out other people. I get up and grab my card from the counter that it was left on and leave. I was charged $67 for $53 worth of food and two Shirley temples, u do not know if this is the correct price since I never received a receipt. I was not offered any compensation or even an apology for the troubles of my dinner. I am not sure if the lady looked at me and my friend and profiled us because we were young and I am a Spanish kid or what, but this is completely unacceptable and left me...
Read morei don’t usually leave long reviews, but california pizza kitchen truly deserves the recognition. i’ve been to this location twice before and had such a great experience both times that i decided to come back again tonight—and let me just say, it’s so worth the 1 hour and 30 minute drive. yes, really. every single time has been more than just a dinner—it’s been an experience.
tonight especially stood out. my boyfriend and i arrived close to closing time, and even though most places might rush you out or act annoyed, we were greeted with nothing but kindness. the kitchen manager, crystal, met us right when we walked in. she was warm, welcoming, and struck up such a genuine conversation with us. that personal touch meant so much. she didn’t just greet us and disappear either—she came back multiple times throughout our meal to check in and make sure we were enjoying everything. that kind of hospitality is rare these days, and it didn’t go unnoticed.
our server, tajh, was equally amazing. from the moment we sat down, he made sure we had everything we needed. drinks came out quick, there was no waiting around, and he was so attentive without ever being overbearing. he had great energy and made the whole meal feel easy and comfortable.
now here’s the part that really blew me away: our order came out a little off—but i didn’t even notice because the team had already caught the mistake and fixed it before i had the chance to say a word. that’s how on top of things they are. and when it came time to settle the bill, they even went out of their way to take care of us. no attitude, no excuses, just genuine customer care and service.
oh—and i can’t end this without shouting out the corn. if you go, get the corn. i’m still thinking about it.
this place is honestly a gem. great atmosphere, amazing staff, good food, and even better people. i would recommend this location to anyone. it’s rare to find a spot where the service feels as good as the food tastes, and this is one of those places. already looking forward to my...
Read moreAs a new customer coming in super hungry from shopping all day, I came into the restaurant with an open mind, my waiter was good. Better than the hostess Who look like she didn’t wanna be there. The hostess literally looked like she was falling asleep and when my party asked for a table she was moving like a sloth, I assumed it was a little busy, She has to find a place for us to sit- come to my surprise when we walk in the place is almost empty. However, let’s get to the worst part- There’s never been a time where entire party I’m with haven’t finished there food. I tell you no one at our table finished their food. I personally got the hot honey pizza- I was mad excited- until I took a bite. I don’t know how California likes their pizza but here on the East Coast we like sauce and cheese. I tell you, it was a few chicken nuggets and a few pickles on some bread. For the rest of my table, One person got shrimp Spaghetti- They left all the spaghetti in the kitchen- It was shrimp and zucchini. The other person at my table - She got some chicken spaghetti dish with like a garlic sauce…. I had a bite and wasn’t into it. Looked pretty though. But all three people had the same thing in common- 3-4 bites in and stopped eating. Trying to scarf down my food because my mother was paying i notice a nat or nats flying around my plate…. I was ready to go.
We start to pay and get boxes when idk who- employee woman not in uniform so I assumed manager or maybe owner who knows she didn’t introduce herself at all - unprofessional in my opinion- continues to ask how the food was. I lied as the rest of my table that it was good. Personally could’ve told the truth but not to stranger???
Also for people with kids, I didn’t see a...
