I love Aldi, and I love this store. It would be a 5. But today I was really disappointed. We were scanning our items and had to press the help button because our chicken's label was messed up and wouldn't scan. The guy came over and said we would have to get another one and he threw it in the trash right in front of us. I don't understand why he couldn't put it in the system some other way. He could have given that chicken to anyone, or even kept it for himself or coworkers. Not sure if it's company policy, but if so, it needs to change. People can barely afford groceries. Why the waste of food and an animals life? Just makes no sense. I felt that he didn't care at all. And if you're going to do that, maybe not do it in front of paying customers. Kind of a slap...

This new store in South Point is clean and easy to navigate with lots of exciting food choices. I was especially wowed with the selection of specialty breads and cheeses. This place may not have all the items I need to supplement my regular grocery shopping, but it'll be a fantastic option when I'm looking for something novel to try.
