You can't use the BATHROOM at this place. Because the people that work here don't like to clean the BATHROOM? It should be a STATE LAW that a business open to the GENERAL PUBLIC should have a working BATHROOM! CD's are not being sold here at NHS. Unless it's Christmas CD's. It's a shame I have bought hundreds of wonderful Cd's from this place because so many people are getting rid of theirs and going full digital with music. And I have seen lately that the NHS is wanting a larger book section. But selling them at their normal prices is good. But it seems the NHS has changed that attitude also. All of the items in your store have been donated, yes I know you have bills also. But screwing over your main customers in my opinion is just wrong.
Here is a definition for "Merchandise. The merchandise in a thrift shop is varied, changing frequently because this type of shop relies on donations most of the time. Some thrift shops may take items on consignment as well. A typical thrift shop will have a large section for clothing such as casual wear, business outfits and childrenâs clothing. Other sections may include household items, appliances, books, toys, furniture and baby items such as strollers. Prices are bargains, often marked at half or one-third less than retail stores."
The reason I posted this is if you want to open a used bookstore then do this and then you can charge the prices you have been putting on some of your books you feel is still a bargain which you got for free.Thank You God's Love PS I wonder how many wonder things the General Public never get to see. I pray whatever is donated that the volunteers or employees of NHS have to wait for said items to make it to the shop room floor. And that customers have the same chance to buy said items when...
Read moreDisappointing donation experience from start to finish. The employees were not in any way helpful when I was unloading a car full of donations. They propped the door open and told me where to set stuff- at all other donation places Iâve been, employees have helped or at least offered to unload items with me. Once I was done donating small items, they wanted me to drive around the building to drop off a larger chair (for their convenience).
Once I went inside to let the ladies at the front know, I stood there for a good 10 minutes before someone looked up to ask if I needed anything. I told her I was dropping off a chair, she responded by saying âonce I finishing checking everyone out I can come take a look.â Keep in mind- there were 4 people waiting & I was standing there longer then the customers waiting to check out. When I told the employee âNever mind, donât worry about it.â She was shockedâŚ. I guess she thought I had all the time in the world to wait on her to give free things away.
Too much manual labor & time involved. Crazy the hoops I had to jump through just to give this company FREE items. Will not be donating...
Read moreDidnât feel welcome at all. Was greeted by one lady outside the store, entered store with a couple more ladies talking at register. Wasnât acknowledged even as I was turning an item around multiple times looking for a price tag right next to register. A gentleman entered after me and was greeted and as I was looking at other items they proceeded to the tell him about todays discount code(yellow) I then left without even finishing looking at the rest of store. Still wasnât acknowledged leaving. Very disappointed as I seen some nice items I would have purchased.
11.13.24 unfortunately I just left out of the store again. Was not greeted and assisted at all. I hate making things racial but right is right and wrong is wrong. I am a black female. A white lady came in right after me and was greeted. I looked one of the sales associate dead in the eyes multiple times hoping to get an acknowledgment. I will spend my monies elsewhere. No third time for me sadly, I have yet to walk the whole store sighs..either greet EVERYONE or donât...
