Just another desolate nearly abandoned mini mall that failed long before the "pandemic". Barely any stores left in this store to even bother looking. Once in a while some poor small business owner will open up a store here thinking that the Canadian traffic will be great for business but the harsh reality is nobody comes to birch bay square to shop for anything. Actually the only lasting outfits seem to be based on food. Theres a grocery store, a Bobs Burger & Brew, woods coffee, Jack in the Box(the only fast food in the immediate area), and there used to be a Subway but I think they may have moved on. On the bright side theres plenty of parking! Enough that you may find the occasional car show in the summer. Other than food off the top of my head theres some kind of real estate or maybe an import export business, a 24 hour fitness where the employees really do say "bruh" and spend too much time flexing in the mirrors and most recently a tesla charging station and a weed store. Hardly worth getting off the freeway unless your hungry. Looking for shopping? Go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe face lift has been a huge upgrade to the days when the only things that were racing through the parking lot here were the same sorry tumbleweeds & occasional bunny rabbit! š!!! The additions of the restaurants, new retail stores, Woods and The Market have all been welcomed additions (to the previously even slimmer selection of local retail stores). It is my humble opinion that this space has the potential to be SO MUCH MORE than the current version, which I am not knocking on ANY level, mind you... I am merely suggesting that the possibilities for the property (and meeting even more local shopping and resource needs...{not to mention the employment opportunities that would result / arise from any additions to the retail front that currently exists}...that might help enhance & refresh this property and take it to the next level. I wouldn't hate the current retail stores staying open a tad bit later, especially in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice and well kept, overall. The only thing I can say about it, in any neutral or slightly negative way, is there's a lot of potential and, unfortunately, not living up to it. The selection of restaurants and retail stores is pretty slim pickings currently. The outlet stores have packed up and gone. It is a great location, and there are a few great spots to go. Bob's is good, Wood's Coffee and The Market are conveniently located. I just wish there were more than a small handful of retailers to go to. The recent addition of the sushi place has cast a hopeful ray of sunshine upon BBS. There are many vacancies throughout. I say, let's filler up, and give us more awesome reasons to shop local! We have to shop...
