Because this is a local Jack in the Box, I have been to this location dozens of times. It never ceases to amaze me how 8 out of 10 times they either get my food wrong, the food is cold, the wait is ridiculous or a combination of all three. This visit was no exception. Although I find that the staff is usually friendly, I also find that they are almost always either clueless, slow, or both. The evenings are the worst although having said that, I have had equally bad experiences in the morning but probably 10 times as many in the evening as in the morning. The gal was nice. I find that their tacos are smothered in sauce so I always ask for very little sauce. I also got a fry and a grilled cheese. Simply enough, right? Wrong. There was no one in front of me yet I waited for over 8 minutes. I tend to time it the minute I have placed my order. This goes back to when I managed multiple fast food places simultaneously myself. And with this place, I take note to see if they have improved or declined. You see, I tell myself, at least every third time I go there that I will never return but the convenience gets me every time. So not only did I not get my receipt, so that I had to look up the phone number to lodge my complaint, but my food was wrong and cold (see above) The frys were cold, cold enough that they left that gross film on your tongue from old grease, appetizing right? The tacos that I asked for light sauce on were smothered. I think that she either wrote extra sauce or the one making the tacos couldn't read. Not sure since I never got my receipt-I will never know. They were so bad that the sauce was getting all over the outside paper bag and oozing out. Lovely-NOT! And my grilled cheese. Cold and dry. SO NOT IMPRESSED!! What took them so long I will never know since my food was cold. I called the manager. Her name is Joyce. A nice gal who assured me she'd make it right. She realizes she has issues at that store. This complaint is really for the owners of the franchise and the corporation itself. You need to get them some consistent help. At some point you will lose all of your local customers and people will boycott you. Just because you can get unsuspecting Canadians who come over the border doesn't mean that that will be the case forever. Have some pride in doing something right. NO ONE I know locally likes this store. EVERYONE I know has had multiple experiences like the one I just retold. Get it together and put some of the money you're making at that store into getting better recruits and helping your managers. It's disgraceful. And one last thing, and this is for the corporation. I really DON'T appreciate having to wait behind someone waiting for their $30 order and even more annoying, is allowed to add another order to this said order AT THE WINDOW while we all just sit amd wait for our $5 order and waste gas @ $4 a gallon! USE COMMON SENSE!! Pull the car over and bring their food out to them. Especially at this store where you are MORE THAN AWARE that the average ticket is much higher than other stores and that the average wait time is already ridiculous! Why should every customer have to wait because you people clearly can't think outside the box? At some point, I assure you, you' will have NO local customers because the word id...
Read moreEDIT: I have since been able to get through to the manager if the location, F (I'll keep his good name out of this) and spoke in detail about the incident. He agreed it was out of line for his cook and will be handling the situation accordingly. He even offered to replace the lost meal with an upsize if not already. F definitely seems to care about the service, and that's a bright spot of hope for this location.
OLD REVIEW: Trying to get a bite to eat after extended business hours (7pm-close)? Don't bother with this Jack In The Box. Cooks who don't follow the ticket with extras that you paid for, resulting in a long drive back because you can't reach anyone by phone to arrange resolution. Arriving back to an empty dive thru (why couldn't the phone be answered in downtime again?) only to receive pushback on a request to remake the fries as well for the inconvenience of having to drive (in my case 15 minutes one way) to fix an order that was originally on my way home. The cashier did hear and understand my frustration and that I've had issues this shift before (to which she probably doesn't remember being either to but was witness nonetheless) and agreed to remake the fries and confirmed after checking with the cook what was on my order. A minute later the cook then needed to confirm the order customization with a condescending tone only to end up arguing with me through the window of his own volition. Shortly thereafter I left without my order because I heard him yelling inside with the cashier, instigating basic fear of my food being mutilated prior to being handed through the window, to which I wanted not to bother I was already shaking angry with the piss poor service overall.
Double check your orders before you leave the window, or make sure you have your receipt so the know it all cook can reread the ticket he messed up...
Read moreI made a mobile ordered 1 hour before closing. (According to google, website, and the drive through sign.) We pulled up to the drive through to pick it up. The employee told us they were closed. We said we submitted a mobile order and asked if we could please get a refund because we didnât realize they were closed. No response. We pulled up to the window. 2 employees immediately looked at us. We sat there for over 7 minutes before someone came to the window and yelled âweâre closed.â My husband said we submitted a mobile order, and asked for a refund. The employee rudely said âyou have to get it on the app.â I said I checked and it doesnât show an option for that. He said âyouâll just have to come back tomorrow then. Weâre closed.â I said, I would have appreciated it he would have told us at the speaker. He said âI did, I told you we were closed.â At this point my hands were shakey because I hate confrontation. I said, no I meant that we didnât know we couldnât get a refund, and that if we would have known that we wouldnât have stayed waiting. He then looked at the screen and recalled our order and said he could make it. My husband politely denied and said we donât want to be a bother, we just didnât know about the refund. The employee said that it wouldnât be trouble. We then heard him loudly venting to the other employee.
I still donât know why they closed an hour early, as they didnât say.
Also, you could see the employâs butt. Like half of it. The top half was covered by his shirt, but you could see the bottom half. I have no...
