This shop obviously has concerns with shoplifting which makes its browsing feel uncomfortable.
I am a gamer and long distance truck driver who came into the shop. I made this very clear and that window shopping for the day when I was greeted coming into the store. I first inquired if they had battle tech, which they did not.
The clerk was very tentative standing at attention at the till while constantly and noticeably keeping eyes on me. Then when I moved to an isle out of view he followed me and asked me if I was from out of town.
I reiterated that I was a trucker and at this point I was not feeling welcome to be able to browse the store. I told him if he was actually willing to listen to what I said when I first came in the shop he wouldn't have to ask where I was from again.
I obviously left telling the clerk about my displeasure. He claimed he was making small talk. Which I hardly believe. His presence at the till was obviously labored as he was straining to keep an eye on me.
Point of the story is unless you are a local and known face your shopping experience will be very uncomfortable. I was interested in spending money on something but left feeling uncomfortable and unwanted as a customer.
I understand that shoplifting is is an issue but there's no need to treat every single customer like a possible perpetrator.
I travel to and through Fernley regularly but this will not become a regular...

They are family owned from what I understand; the mother and father are really cool, and the son is reasonably distant. The mother has helped put ideas in my head for painting miniatures. My friends and I frequently come here to play pokemon, and the father has a view that helps us get an idea of the meta in this game. They successfully manage to keep their shelves stocked with everchanging materials always which keeps the place full of life for me. Too many times have I walked into a shop and thought; this is dreary. A problem I've never had with Dice-n-duels. They even host weekly events, with each day or the week holding a different but scheduled event. Fridays and Saturdays are usually magic night. Admittedly I wish they had their pokemon events on one of the weekend days but that's alright, it's literally just my schedule being incompatible. If you are looking for a place to stop by, I'd highly encourage this shop. Also the picture shows the old location, they are at a different location so don't get thrown off by that. I'm pretty sure the map is updated correctly. (I can't remember because I have it memorized...
Read moreThis..is..the absolute..most coolest place in Fernley! I mean, unreal! I stopped in and had a really fun, informative tour of their games for sale. There is something for everybody. Unbelievable! I've been out of the game for decades. Now have grandchildren. This business is owned and operated by very, very good people. And are willing to assist in any way possible to find the right game for you, your wife and family. And..if there is a game they DONT have, let them know. They will get it for you. I am so impressed and will definately be back again. And I am not even mentioning their daily events! Just go and see for yourself. I'm very much impressed! I don't know what else to say! Thanks to...
