I NEVER post negative reviews, I just don't like to do that. I am only posting this at the insistence of another Auto Zone store because they agreed with me that my visit to the Firestone Auto Zone was subpar. Walking into the store, my husband asked a woman working there if she could check our battery and starter. She did (with a smile) and she was great! We were very appreciative. We also needed to purchase an air filter and she helped us with that. In the process of ringing up our transaction, we asked if someone might be able to help us install it. She said "Let me check with my manger. Xx, are you able to put an air filter in?" The manager was at the cash register ringing someone out (there was no one else in line), and the manager yells over his left shoulder "No". She said, " I'm sorry, my manager said no." I am absolutely not upset with the women whatsoever, she was great and was only doing what she was told. It was the manager that shocked me. He didn't even turn around to explain or apologize. I understand that they have store policies, but I just couldn't believe that installing an AIR FILTER would have been against their policy. So we paid and walked out a little perturbed, but I was planning on going to a different Auto Zone to see if they could help (both my husband and myself are extremely mechanically challenged). I went to a different store, they were MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP AND DID IT WITH A SMILE, AND IT TOOK HIM LESS THAN 20 SECONDS!!! He said it was the easiest air filter that he's ever done (now my husband and myself are both embarrassed at how easy it was. WE could have done that!) Needless to say, the other store employee was as surprised as we were that this store didn't even go and look at my car (he informed me that it is company policy to at least look at someone's car before saying no), and highly encouraged us to leave a negative review. Iāve gone there on several occasions and every time i go I feel unwelcome and the workers are no help when I ask them questions. I went in for windshield wipers and fluid and obviously needed help, I was the only customer in the store with about five associates behind the counter and no one asked or approached me but weāre instead burping and being obnoxious behind the counter, making jokes about nuts. Even the manager was there and said nothing. I walked to The counter and still no one said a word or even acknowledged that I was there. I had to ask do I just go to anyone? And a young man told me he could check me out.. I asked him if he could help me with getting some blades and he pointed to the area and said theyre over there..well no kidding! I said I donāt know which ones Iām looking for can you look it up? Or show me some? he got my car information and said you just need to get any of them that donāt say oe.. at this point i was annoyed and said nevermind and paid for the item i got. This location is the closest to me which is why I come here but I just really wish that they cared about...

So I head over to the store and find an empty box on the shelf. I wait for a clerk to become available and hand it to her. After awhile she returns and says that item is not carried in store. But the website says itās available in store! When I told her what I saw on the website she explained that the item is available to order from the store and not necessarily in stock at the store. š
Donāt head over to any AutoZone thinking anything is actually in stock at the store and available for immediate purchase and pickup based on whatās on the website because itās NOT! Itās a bait and switch tactic. š”
The clerk was clearly frustrated since this apparently happens all the time. She suggested I complain to corporate. I walked out empty handed and immediately ordered it from Amazon.
Listen up corporate people: when you mislead me like that I wonāt go to your store...
