Collectibles Warehouse — Local services in Fletcher

I was excited when I saw a new store open up around town. I’m a HUGE collector of nfl, pokemon, pretty much anything I can get my hands on. I was in the store for less than 5 minutes before I turned around and walked out, and will never go back.

Essentially; this store is just a front to re-sell scalped product from retailers. Every item in the store was RETAIL product; not hobby shop products from a distributor. (These are very different products, with different price points and different pull rates for rare and valuable sports cards) the same boxes that I can find reliably at target down the road are 2-3x the price here, and likely sourced from said target.

Pokemon collection was large, but again, prices were anywhere from 2.5x msrp to 5x msrp on products released only in the last year or so. Boxes that retail for 50$ were 100-150$ and some that retail for 20$ were as high as 90$….

This shop is the embodiment of everything wrong with the card collecting world over the last few years… the hobby is not fun and is unsustainable when you are paying 3x the recommended retail cost of EVERY item...

I usually feel super uncomfortable trading cards. It always feels like I’m being lowballed or talked down to, like people assume I don’t know what I’m doing just because I’m a woman. It’s honestly made me pretty wary of going into most shops.

But Collectibles Warehouse totally surprised me. The place is super clean and organized, which already made it feel more welcoming than a lot of other spots I’ve been to. The staff were actually really chill, respectful, and clearly knew their stuff. You can tell they’re well-trained and care about giving people a good experience.

They took the time to go through my cards, explained the value without acting like I didn’t belong there, and gave me a fair trade without me having to argue or second-guess everything. I actually left feeling good about the trade, which never happens.

This card shop is brand new and is a welcomed addition to the community. The store was very clean, it was well-stocked, and the staff was both friendly and professional which can be hard to find in other card shops. I was able to find some hard-to-find cards for my collection and I was able to grab my nephew some Pokémon cards since they had a well-stocked Pokémon selection. I went back the other day with some of my collection and they offered me a great price for the cards so I decided to sell to them on the spot. This place is new and I can tell they are going to be here for the long haul. I can't wait to see what they have in store...
