City of Forney Animal Shelter — Local services in Forney

First off...I hate giving negative reviews and this is my first bad one but I just had to! The lady I spoke with was RUDE!!! Maybe it had to do with our skin color....don't know but her attitude and tone of voice complete changed once she started talking to the young lady that walked in as I was walking out (not her fault and I'm glad she got better service than we did) It's crazy how a shelter that's in FORNEY won't take in an animal because of our address even though our address is in FORNEY! This place is less then 10 minutes from our home and she was sending us to a shelter almost 50 minutes away. My husband thought that maybe she misunderstood our address and decided to just go reconfirm the answer that I got. When he went in there and tried asking politely with the direction up on our phone to the other location why she was sending us 50 minutes away when we were less then 10 minutes from this location. She yelled at him..."I don't care!" not only once but twice. The minute my husband told her that's not very good customer service and that she needed to calm down was when she lowered her voice and pulled up a map and showed him why. That's all he was asking for. It's not her fault either that the City of Forney has those rules but she needs to check her attitude when speaking with people. I even looked up the policies on their website about what animals they take in and decided to call before we even went up there, they never answer the phones. If she's having a bad day or was bothered by our skin color she should have just asked someone else...

I called last week to confirm that the Crandall Spay & Neuter Clinic was really doing the event for free shots on July 2 and I left a voicemail and a man contacted me back the very same day and let me know it was a valid event that we could come .

I really appreciate that he called me back we have 7 dogs 3: rescues we live out in Malakoff I seen it on My Neighbor App but it's around a hour 1/2 drive so to load and get to Forney and it not be true would have been not only hard on us but the gas and time would have been wasted.

So I want to thankyou all for helping us although you weren't involved giving the free shots but you called back and allowed Crandall to use your site to help us all who have animalsthere were alot of people one man drove from Irving this was a blessing to so many of us to get this done Thankyou all so much !

First off, I’am not the person to leave negative reviews! But, Chris was very rude. From the moment I walked in, Poor customer service. I found puppies and their Mom on the side of a busy street. A 50 mph street. One puppy was already rant over looks like from days ago. I did not want this incident to reoccur. Only reason I stopped because i thought it was a raccoon or something crossing the street, as I slowed down I’am like “omg it’s a puppy!!! “ I then noticed the dog mom and another puppy on the side (someone must have dropped them off) I stopped traffic and loaded them into my car and searched for the nearest shelter and took them here. Chris showed no sympathy, just plain rude! Look like he took all his frustration out on me, witch I understand how many drops off’s there are on a daily basis.
