Ross' Appliance Center — Local services in Fort Dodge

We have an large upright freezer that I had a pizza in holding the door open causing everything to defrost. We threw everything out but the blood from the meat ran into the drip pan and began to smell. We took the back off and there isn't anyway to get the pan out. We called Ross Appliance at 9am and was told they would have to call us back, the repair guy wasn't there. By afternoon, We realized no one was going to call us so with a little ingenuity and youtube, we got it cleaned up and sanitized. My husband called them today and talked to the owner. He was told " I was going to call you . ." He then told my husband we would have to bring it in to have them clean it out! We are 74 years of age, have an Explorer, and purchased ALL our appliances (washer,dryer, microwave, dishwasher, stove,frig, freezer) from Ross in the past 3 years, having purchased our home in 2021. We also live 25 miles away! We bought from Ross after people told us how great they were with sales and service! The very LEAST they could have done was call us and tell us they didn't...

Bought a new kitchen set when we bought our house 4 months ago. 1 month in the water quit working on it. So we call Ross and he sends out a technician and they put in a new filter and w.e else (at cost to us) well a month later the ice isn't being made anymore. So we call again and he refuses to send someone out and says to call a plumber. So I called him back and try to talk to him and he didn't wanna hear me just kept making excuses and everything just hung up on me after he said he was gonna tell whirlpool not to deal with me either. Pretty sad a small business has that bad of customer service especially when word of mouth is everything. I'm just putting this out here so ppl know how he really is. When I first delivered here, the owner and I got off on the wrong foot. Now, after delivering here for about 5 years I learned that he is a great person. He loves freedom, democracy, and this country, and he believes in Christian values. Also, there are not too many people that know more about politics and world news than him.
