Fox Theatre — Local services in Fort Madison

If you are being superficial you might give this theater a lower rating, but if you can look past the fact that it is not the nicest looking you can probably enjoy your visit a lot more. It is obviously a much older theater, which contributes to its charm. We don't often get a chance to visit older theaters like this and it was a joy.

Now to what makes it stand out. The young lady who was working was very pleasant. She sold us our tickets, gave us our concession items and greeted us after the movie to personal offer us a mint. Overall nothing over the top, but sometimes it is just the little things that matter most.

We also appreciated the price. The ticket, popcorn and drink were automatically bundled at a price that some might pay for just a ticket elsewhere. $8 for all three! That is a deal. The serving size is small compared to the huge sizes at the jumbo theaters, but for $10 they'll increase it to a reasonable size.

Finally, the restrooms were clean.

Nice movie theatre, very small but adequate. It is now the closet theatre since Keokuk's shut down so it's this one or driving to Quincy/Burlington. It had 2 movie options when we came. You can buy tickets w consession options online or just the tickets in person, very affordable. We went on a Saturday night and wasn't charged more because it was a prime evening. In St. Louis is would be $13 for a weekend show in the evening per person. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed the movie. It was not full either so no rush to buy online.
