Taste Of China — Restaurant in Fort Madison

I love the dumplings, rolls, rangoon .... Large items and good portions, that beat the other place in town hands down. The steak rangoon and crab rangoon just makes you want to keep eating them.... Update: I had also ordered the spicy shrimp.. It was great not too much or too little spice. Satisfying and the amount of rice was sufficient. ( the other place in town gave you the same amount of rice for 2 entrees. ) Don't overlook this place if you like Chinese...

Honestly, I've been told not to order from here as the food wasn't very good bit I've been craving some Chinese food for a while so I gave it a shot. Ordered the General Tso chicken with fried rice. The chicken had a flavorful sauce but it had a horrible aftertaste like it had been fried in rancid old oil. The fried rice was mushy and looked like it had been sitting in a pan all day. Overall, I won't be ordering...

Chicken and mushrooms had one tiny piece of chicken and all kinds of vegetables..one of each. One pea pod, one tiny mini corn, two water chestnuts, onions and three mushrooms. Not even a cup of food, two cups of rice that was supposed to be fried AND it was extremely salty! All for the price of $15.47!! I will never go back there, threw it in the trash it...
