This place is a very shady business who sells appliances that they claim are new, but don't work properly! We purchased a stainless steel fridge from them for $1,070 (scratch & dent). Chose our delivery date/time in store at time of purchase. After not hearing from them in the timeframe it was supposed to be delivered, my husband called to ask when it would be delivered. The owner was rude & claimed they don't do deliverys on that day. It was finally delivered & was completely filthy! Took us 3 hrs to clean the inside/outside of the fridge just to use. Even the delivery guy apologized for how dirty it was. After plugging it in, the freezer portion wasn't cooling. We checked it again 12+ hours later & it still wasn't cooling. We only put bread in the freezer portion to see if it would freeze. It's still thawed 16 hrs later. My husband called the store when they opened at 10am the next morning (not even 24 hrs after delivery). The owner was very rude & said they won't refund our money or pickup the non working "claimed to be brand new fridge" & will only fix it! We would have never bought a "new" fridge that didn't work! The sales girl in the store assured us it was brand new & worked perfectly. They claim you have to go through them for warranty work & the owners manual that was inside the fridge in the store when we purchased it wasn't in the fridge at time of delivery. They are super rude and have no customer respect, whatsoever. When I did bring it back, I was interrogated about why and told that I didn’t know what I was talking about. I’m not an idiot and it could not be installed on my door frame. They were just mad I was bringing it back. The return policy is so stupid, credit only and they have no way of tracking it except for the original receipt and a new stamp that says “must show to receive credit.” When I got home, I immediately put it on my refrigerator, only to have someone else in my family throw it away. Definitely a series of unfortunate events. After trying to reason with them and ask for a new receipt, they did not want to help. When I returned the door, I’m pretty sure every employee/family member was there. They would definitely remember me because they were all asking questions!! They would know if I had come back. Heather told me they have no way of knowing if I have already used it so she can’t issue me a new one. It’s the worst tracking of receipts I’ve seen. Tempted to get the IRS involved and make sure they are audited. I’m an honest person and would never go to this length to receive my credit. I have shopped at Jones & Whitmire Sales for the last 4 years. I have purchased a washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, tv antennas, tools, small kitchen appliances, ceramic tile...I could go on and on. I did have an issue with the dryer and had it fixed by the manufacturer through direction from the store owners with no problem. It took a little more effort on my part than just returning something to the store, but it was worth it for me because of the great price I was able to get it at. Is this store a Lowe's? Harbor Freight Tools? Tractor Supply? No, it is a small family owned business that understands not all can shop at expensive chain stores. Is everything perfect? No. We don't live in a perfect world. If you have a problem with a product, go back in and have a civil conversation. This store is a legitimate business that brings in and sells a lot of inventory on a daily basis. As for refunds, the refund policy is posted. That is all that is required. People should check that FIRST before making a purchase and if they are not comfortable don't make the purchase. If you don't like the delivery service, come pick it up. It's that simple. I have no hesitation recommending...
